The theming of brotherhood in the original series was also stronger, ironically. I view them as two completely separate stories that share the same starting point. Then again, I may be just nostalgic. The original FMA left a greater impact on me than Brotherhood, but maybe it was because it came first.

The disconnect is interesting but I'm wondering if it's addressed at all or just something that I find puzzling.
I will watch future episodes with your advice in mind and see if I find her more tolerable. Thank you!

However, your university may not have a policy yet. The education system can move pretty slowly. Or, like my institution, they have left it up to the professors' discretion. Some professors are embracing ChatGPT, so the university may not want a blanket ban.

The reality is that it will take time for professors to get up to speed and these AI detectors are being pushed as a solution. Alternatively, you could put your papers through the AI detector yourself before submitting and make sure they come out clean. Many students already do this with Turn It In for plagiarism. My understanding is that Turn It In also has AI detection now, so if your school uses that, I would recommend you test with it prior to submitting.
If you do get accused, don't take it personally. Behave professionally and politely. Offer to provide evidence that you did not cheat. You may offer to defend your paper orally, to prove you know the material in your paper. Or simply ask what you can do to ally their suspicions. The key is to be polite and accountable, not insulting or offering excuses.

I'm interested in the boss character and how integral to the series he'll be. He seems like he could be a great foil to the main character's wackiness. Speaking of, I'm still not sold on her. I get that she is supposed to be a wreck, but it's not coming off as endearing to me, but more annoyance at her. I hope that she is fleshed out more as the series goes along.

I really loved parts of Inazuma, but parts of the main story fell flat. For me, if they would have cut out the Watasumi Island part of the Archon quest, I would be happy with everything else. Kokomi and crew just didn't click with me. I also felt that Ei's "redemption" was a little unearned. But I love most of the rest of it. Itto's quest was great, the cat shrine was amazing (as well as how they revealed the fate of Hibiki in other content), the fog island story was so dark, with a satisfying ending. I love that era of Japanese history, so it was really interesting to see what they did to adapt it to the Genshin universe.

Genshin gets a bad rap because it's a gacha, but it's a genuinely great game. I hope when they inevitably shut down the servers, they offer a single player version that lasts afterwards.
I'm looking forward to the new area, but I'm not sure if they can top Sumeru for me. Being in academia, I felt a connection to that place and all the characters from the Akademia. I won't miss the desert exploration though.
One thing I don't like is that some of the best stories are in limited time events. Last year's summer event had a lot of character development for some of the characters but newer players will never get to experience that.
What has been your favorite area/storyline so far?

I think I've saved money in the long run, because we probably would have had to buy three regular chairs in the time since we bought it and it's still just as good as when we bought it.
I'm also short and can confirm that the sizes make a difference. My Aeron at work is a larger size than the one I bought for home and I'm definitely more comfortable in the smaller one. It can be really difficult to find things that fit us! I hope you are successful in your search.

That sounds kind of reductionist, but many libraries live and breathe by circulation stats. As long as there is demand (or a librarian that is adverse to weeding), there will be a ton of cookbooks. A lot of library-goers are people who love physical books, so it makes sense that those people may prefer a physical cookbook.
Also, most libraries' collections have older books that predate the ubiquity of online recipes. Some of those older cookbooks are prized, as cooking styles and trends change over time (who's up for a Jello mold casserole?). Some people want to revisit those older recipes or have nostalgia for an old fashioned cookbook.
Ultimately, libraries serve their communities so if people want old cookbooks, the library will provide them.

A fellow picross enjoyer! Is Picross E the main picross series by Jupiter? I've bought a few but lately have been playing some of the more interesting versions. Murder By Numbers is a combination of detective game and picross - if you're looking for some story with your picross, I recommend taking a look at it!

But you...Nope, not that (although that is covered in Zero). If you played the side part that is only accessible on the main menu separate from the main game where you play as Majima, you did it. But you may not even realize the significance of it since you didn't play Zero. All the better if you forgot it!
Zero is much shorter than 5, iirc. It only has two protagonists and you swap between them. My memory is that it's closer to the length of 2, but I could be off a bit. After 5, they seem to have realized that longer isn't always better and scaled back a bit.
Zero has been hyped to death, but it's still my favorite in the series. I'm a huge Majima fan so being able to play as him and see his evolution was great. Kiryu is great in it as well and it's nice to see him in his pre-Dragon days. The antagonists are really memorable, unlike in some of the other games. The stakes are understandable and the twists are realistic. I really hope you like it, but going in with tempered expectations is a good thing.
It's a good thing you aren't a completionist because some of the minigames to get the platinum are brutal!

The...You know what, I was mistaken. The Majima side chapter is in the remake of Yakuza 2, not Kiwami. D'oh!
Majima started out as a one-off character and became popular so they fleshed him out. The reasons for his personality are explained in Zero, and it also explains why he got more serious as time went by. I adore Majima as a character because he is layered and his logic for behaving the way he does is fascinating to me.
In 5, I got stuck on the Saejima prison portion. I know he's a fan favorite, but his portions of the games are always my least favorite. Especially because 5 repeats the prison setup of 4. One day I will go back to it and power through that sequence.
I think a lot of people connect to Kiryu. Despite being yakuza, he's truly a good man with strong ideals. In some ways, he's an ideal embodiment of "manhood." He's a bit thick at times, but that's his only real flaw. He's definitely memorable and relatable.
I recently binged the Genius Prince's Guide to Raising His Nation Out of Debt anime. It was really interesting! It has a fantasy setting, but it's not an Isekai and there isn't magic to speak of. Just a lot of political maneuvering and occasional fighting. The characters are not unambiguously good and react to events as harsh realities. The protagonist is flawed but principled. There are a lot of strong women and although they have the required skimpy outfits, in most other ways, they are the equal to the men. I really enjoyed this one and felt it was different from many of the fantasy set anime I've watched in the past. I hope it gets a second season!
