The eMTB is not necessarily cheaper than a motorcycle.

But it's 10x more fun. And 100x more exercise.

If you are near a specialized experience center, do yourself a favor and rent one for the day.

    Insane bike.

I've been dreaming about getting either the R1250GS or the Tiger 1200. I think you have to ride them before you buy them tho. BMW used to be pretty chill about test rides.

You might want to consider buying the latest Proficient Motorcycling, and give it a read. It warns that returning riders have almost as many accidents as newer riders. People like you who haven't ridden for twenty years.

I lent an older bike to a friend who had not ridden for about twenty years. We went up in the hills together. He used to ride in all weather, including snow. He got his USA M2 by going through the MSF rider course. Then we went riding. A car crossed into our lane. About thirty seconds later, he target fixated on the side of the road, and gently rode straight into the ditch.

Keep the rubber side down, brother.

This is a delaying tactic the Supreme Court is using to protect Trump. They will decide Trump is not immune, but by which point in time it will be too late to prosecute Trump.

Even Trump’s name was barely uttered, and mostly in the context of the formal title of court cases.

The biggest upside is your iPhone and Mac will work seamlessly together.

If my phone is looking at a site, there is an icon to pull the same site on the mac.

I can enter long text on the mac, copy it off the mac, and long press to paste it on the iPhone.

I can enter a contact on my Mac, and it appears on the iPhone.

I can manage messages or facetime calls on either iPhone or Mac.

Basically, when I have my Mac, the iPhone stays in my pocket.

The show had a number of writers, there is no doubt that was the intent of the early episodes.

During the latter shows, Klinger was asked why he kept wearing such fabulous outfits, when it showed no sign of getting him off on section 8.

He simply replied the dresses were more comfortable.

This was when he took on a more serious role within the show, and the dresses were less about comedic value, and more about his unique identity and pushing gender stereotypes.

I find, no matter how highly reviewed, if I don't like it in the first 10-30 minutes, I am never going to like it.

So I have started to force myself to watch the queue of movies that are highly rated, but only for the first 10 minutes or so.

If I don't like it, I move onto a guilty pleasure, like Zatoichi.

    Is the output of interest?

    I followed a different tack.

I downloaded the data from the Netflix Challenge, and look for users who rated the movie a 5/5.

Then I look at all the other movies those users also rated a 5/5. I consider the most commonly rated movies to be solid recommendations.

This works well for movies prior to 2006.

The very first thing I learned about Woody Allen, was the accusations of him being a pedo.

This was back in 1994, when I was first exploring movies beyond Arnold S & Sylvester S.

It was in the helpful advice of "if you really want to get Dan [a cinephile] going, mention that Woody Allen is a pedo."

I try to judge movies on their merits, and people on their actions. Yet it always amazed me how many movies Woody made about infidelity with significantly younger women.

I think it's important to realize that some people can be intellectually very smart, and also intellectually very deluded and challenged at the same time.

These people often end up being charged, convicted, and jailed. It is very sad that there is no better answer for these people in America, other than jail them.

The article narrates the bizarre and prolonged saga of Mickey Barreto, who checked into the New Yorker Hotel in 2018 and managed to stay for five years without paying more than his initial night's fee of $200.57, a situation that now risks his freedom. Barreto, a California transplant with a penchant for conspiracy theories, exploited an obscure New York City rent law to claim residency in the hotel, leading to a complex legal battle. Born in Brazil and having moved to the U.S. in the 1990s, Barreto's actions ranged from demanding a lease from the hotel under the Rent Stabilization Act to eventually filing paperwork that falsely declared him the owner of the hotel, causing significant legal and financial ramifications for the establishment.

Despite being ordered by a judge to vacate and the hotel's efforts to counter his claims, Barreto continued to assert ownership, involving various city departments and even the property's lender and diner within the hotel premises in his scheme. His justification for these actions included a convoluted belief in his patriotic duty to prevent the hotel's alleged financial contributions to North Korea, alongside a deep dive into his own genealogy linking him to historical figures.

The legal battles culminated in Barreto being arrested and charged with multiple counts of fraud, facing years in prison. Throughout this ordeal, Barreto utilized the legal system and bureaucratic processes to his advantage, leaving a trail of bewildered legal professionals, city officials, and hotel staff. This case highlights not only the individual's audacious use of law and public records but also the vulnerabilities within these systems that allowed such an unprecedented claim to temporarily succeed.

If someone unfamiliar (and likely uninterested) in my line of work, asks me what I do, I just say "meetings."

But you are asking a fundamentally deeper questions.

Most meetings are useless, and the more attendees they typically have (100+), the more useless they are to me individually. Those are the best meetings to skip or to play baldur's gate 3 in.

The useful meetings involve figuring out how to do stuff. Learn. Make. Sell. Use. Profit.

If your arithmetic and reasoning skills are sharp, you might wonder, why do organizations have 100+ attendees, all getting paid 4x your salary, all apparently playing baldur's gate 3, while they all barely listen to someone blather corporate bullshit bingo.

The reason is, motivation. It's hard to motivate hundreds of people to aim towards the same target. But if you build a cohesive corporate culture, you might get somewhere. Unfortunately, that means a lot of meetings, with a lot of people, and they are all are apparently playing baldur's gate 3.

As for money, what you earn has nothing to do with your contribution to society, or your impact to the world. A stay at home mother gets paid nothing, but contributes more to their childs well being than any amount of money ever will.
