    The best servers I've played on were official ones from subreddits that I frequented on. The one I'm thinking of right now was the official /r/Linux server. The nature of the subreddit attracted a lot of older and more technical people that I really enjoyed talking to and playing with.

    I'm not really sure how this comment helps but I guess what I'm saying is that if you can find a community that you enjoy and post it there, you could grow the server. I'm not sure of the rules here but posting it on tildes might get you a decent crowd.

    I don't use Twitter so I don't have the best context but from my knowledge there wouldn't be any alternatives since Elon killed the API. Any alternative apps would cost an excessive subscription...

    I've not watched A Serbian Film but from what I've heard, Antichrist is kind of the same level of fucked up. It's very artsy but some of the scenes are the most brutal things I've ever seen in film

    I used to like the simplicity of AbiWord but found it wasn't always very good at compatibility. It would mess up formatting quite often for me. I haven't used it in years since I was in college...
