Gameplay was largely pretty tight, and graphically it's stunning. Plot felt a little generic, and what I thought was sort of the mid-point ended up being the final act. The guns were pretty good, though I feel it had an over-reliance on turret type or otherwise external weapons over handheld fire power, and it doesn't quite reach the same heights of the weaponry in previous games. The weakest point would be the dialogue, it suffers the same fate of a lot of recent games where the characters just do not shut up.
Overall, good game, would recommend! Great outing for the duo after over a decade of bad to middling games.
Planning to start up Hollow Knight soon, though I have been meaning to play that for several years, so who knows?

I really enjoyed the original and Future series (to the point of even playing the spin-offs), but I fell out of love with the PlayStation consoles so I haven't bought any since then. I'm still too early in the game to give a proper opinion about it, but it's very neat so far. Feels almost like a soft reboot with the way they highlight the original and future trilogies in the beginning.
I've also been replaying Skyrim with a load of mods, both to wait to see if Starfield gets better, and to wait for Starfield to get mods, neither is mutually exclusive to the other. I feel Skyrim doesn't really need an opinion stated, but I've far preferred it over the shooty games Bethesda likes to put out.

A month ago they celebrated the 1 year anniversary of the buyout with this tweet which includes the rather tongue-in-cheek sentence "That also means it has been 1 year since we promised your data would be safe and (shocker) we were telling the truth!".
To me it still feels like that statement is "It's been one year since we bought the bomb and we haven't exploded it once!", but I do have to commend them on that even if I still refuse to use their launcher anymore.

It's been my main Reddit replacement, and I've been trying to help out with the site where possible. I do mod the "SpaceImages" community over there, but that's a more recent development, and I'm not a site admin.
It's developed by a single guy called Previnder, it's rather bare bones with a lot of functionality being relegated to a roadmap, however the core functionality is extremely solid. It recently got a Progressive Web App, so the lack of a current mobile app isn't nearly as much of a problem. It's also soon to go open source, for those interested in that kind of thing.
The rules specify "No racism or hate. Don't post anything that promotes violence or discrimination against a group of people based on race, ethnicity, sex, gender, religion, nationality, or sexual orientation.", which ended up being the primary draw to the site for Squabblr users from what I've heard. As from what I understand, even before Squabblr became "free speech", it didn't have the best outline of what did and didn't constitute hate, and Discuit's rule was commonly cited as an example of how the rules should be written over there.
Currently Discuit is rather flooded with ex-Squabblr users, which is leaving the original core of active users a bit, for lack of a better term, "weirded out" due to the culture clash. Ex-Squabblr users like to self-post a lot as that site had a Twitter like functionality, and have their own cliques and famous users. Whereas Discuit has no such functionality, the original userbase primarily posted links and discussion, and there wasn't really that kind of clique culture. Ex-Squabblr users have also created a self post community in an effort to somewhat retain that culture. It also doesn't help that the Squabblr migration has effectively at least tripled the active users, potentially more, so ex-Squabblr users are certainly rather noticable and distinct from those who came before. It's my hope that the ex-Squabblr users integrate more thoroughly with the Discuit and its culture over the coming weeks.
If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them!

Granted, I'm not sure I'd trust EA to do a good remake these days, but if they kept true to the original just with upgraded graphics, it would be my dream game. Especially so if they added extra, good content.

It could be explored either by showcasing her first loop, as per the plot point you're referring to and making it a prequel. Or putting her into another loop after the events of the first movie where the aliens return.

I would be excited to see a sequel, though I'm not entirely sure where they could go for a sequel, as I feel to stay true to the series' name they'd have to put a character in another time loop which isn't exactly treading new ground. Maybe putting Emily Blunt's character in a time loop this time?
GOTY seems largely fair in terms of its nominations, though I have to say putting a game that's just over two weeks old (Alan Wake 2) on there is a strange choice, as is putting it in for so many categories as well. Also rather disappointed Hi-Fi Rush isn't on there, that was my personal GOTY, but good to see it got a few nominations for other categories.
