I tapped someone out in BJJ! I'm also getting my shrimping more efficient (moving from out under your opponent). The sport's making me feel more confident with my body and helps with preventing dangerous scenarios. Personally, I thought I knew my body well, but fighting off an opponent really requires brains over brawns in many cases with bjj or you will get super sore.

Besides that, my DL is now at 3 plates, and I'm getting closer to a 2 plate bench and squat.

Just finished Prey with 20 hours. I really enjoyed the atmospheric immersion and the plot driven game play. Exploring the ship and piecing together the different lives of the individuals before the catastrophe was definitely an experience. While playing, you're rewarded when you explore and investigate areas given your chosen upgrades. The game felt like a mixture of dishonored and dead space, with solid weapon handling and good stealth tactics. I really recommend picking it up for the 15 dollars if you'd like an immersive FPS.

I also bought Doom and am playing through that right now. So far it's looking like everything I want in an FPS, but I'm only an hour or so in (just got the chainsaw). The comedic relief is so well done and realistic. I hope that keeps up.

Yeah seems they aren't completely accurate. Going from online charts I'd maybe me closer to a 13%. I am living a lie!

Personally, I've never enjoyed eating when I first wake up. I naturally fast, and figured I'd go the extra couple of hours to get the structured benefits of intermittent fasting.

The best thing for myself is the structure of the diet. I follow intermittent fasting to help count calories and to limit my caloric intake. I'd say it works for me, as I have below 6% body fat and a bmi of 21. This is with working out though, so it's not only due to the diet. I do weightlifting before I break my fast, and I haven't had any problems with making progress.

    Hey everyone,

Intermittent fasting is a diet where the user fasts for either periods of their day for 10-16 hours or for set days throughout their week. As long as you don't binge eat and stick to your diet, it's a good option for losing weight. There's other science coming out from rodent testing concerning other potential benefits, though that's not always consistent for the effects on humans.

So, any thoughts or experiences? Who else eats breakfast at 2pm?

All you had to do was show me that flowchart. I feel like me and my table need to go to 5e. Thanks for the great input.

Rule 0 is said multiple times throughout Pathfinder's GM guide and Core rule book. Most times whenever we want to keep the ball rolling at our table, we just give the GM the say and look up a rule later. If you're looking for one niche to make you the best player ever, you're playing the game wrong most of the time IMO, regardless of your ruleset.

Could you expand upon why Pathfinder is a poor choice? Me and my table have used it with good results, though if there are other options I would enjoy exploring them. I think it personally stuck with me since it really felt like a board game and worked off of similar mental models. We actually purchased a beginner DnD set and couldn't get into it as well without a grid. That said, I could definitely go for playing at a table without a grid now after becoming addicted to and more comfortable with tabletop rpg's.

    Thanks, - Rain

I don't see any comments saying to play Pathfinder due to DnD being too complicated. That said, the lost mines of Phandelver also seems like a great introduction.

If you guys can shell out 30 bucks I recommend purchasing the pathfinder beginner box. It has a dungeon already made, characters created and ready to explore, and a guide for the DM to keep the adventure on track. Me and my friends had an absolute blast playing it, and you can use the first dungeon's experience as a basis to further your campaign later. The guide has plenty of resources for helping new players, including making your own player characters and dungeons.

The two men should have pulled the safety break, but honestly I don't think we can know what was going through their heads during that moment without their input. We are only receiving one side of this story. They could have been travelers who weren't aware of the safety break. They could have called the police, but I don't believe we can prove that from the content of the article if they then left the scene of the crime after calling.

We also do not know the age or physiques of the two men who left. Curious is her mentioning of the man holding a briefcase - is she implying that could have been used as a weapon by a man against a 6 ft aggressor in the prime of his life? I also do not believe she should be so quick to disregard the actions of the man who attacked her vs the two men who left. Previous decisions the aggressor took could have led to him assaulting someone in the first place.

It is easy, though maybe not completely disingenuous, to claim you'd jump in and help. That said, we do not know the health/physiques of these two men, we do not know the past experiences they have been through, and we do not know if they would have helped the situation at all and not just escalate the existing tension by stepping in. I do not believe there is enough information available to correctly criticize them.

Or that there is no "soul" outside the metaphorical definition of the term. I think that would go in line with your first statement as well.

That's a great way to go about it in my opinion. Those lifts work so many different muscle groups, and working on their form helps translate to other lifts. If I had to suggest one more exercise, maybe standing over head press? That's another compound exercise that in this case works your chest, shoulders, back, and core.

My friend has been doing kettle bells recently and loves them. I'm finding so many different movements that you can do holding a kettle bell which can condition your whole body. I'm tempted to purchase one for my apartment.

    Good luck with your lifts!
