Thinking back, someone with access to all information about me and all my account's information, they might be able to put me on a shortlist of about 500 people, but they'd have a hard time zooming in past that without sinking more resources into it than probably anyone except maybe a Presidential candidate or Senator is worth.

Moreover, I'm going into education, so I have a particular interest in children and children's rights. Ultimately, we as a society deem an embryo at conception to not be worthy of moral consideration, except insofar as the mother is worthy of it. That means that it cannot be outside of the bounds of bodily autonomy for parents to choose an embryo based on any criteria they want--assuming one is pro-choice, anyway. Whether that criteria is sex, sexuality, IQ, genetic health, or even skin color.
Of course, there are good arguments for not allowing parents to know most of those things, to preserve society. For example, China already values boys more than girls. How many more men than women would there be if every couple could pick whatever sex they wanted their baby to be? For that matter, if we could get more specific, do we have the right to choose things like hair color, right-handedness, or even some kind of specializations for enhanced endurance, at the cost of some other feature?
From a personal perspective, I...honestly don't think I could morally choose to allow for a child to be born with something like Down Syndrome or GSS. I know that I'd rather not exist than suffer Down Syndrome, but who am I to make that choice for others? On the other hand, am I obligated to parent a child with that disability, if I can choose to avoid it? There really is no good answer.
This is a good post, by the way! I'm glad to see hard questions, they're always the most fascinating.

No matter how little it costs me, I'm just not going to go see Tag in theaters, haha. I've heard it's good, though, so it's on my list for at-home viewing.

Sawses The worrying thing for me is that they don't have any announcements. It's just down, and that's unprofessional at best and very sketchy at worst. The worrying thing for me is that they don't have any announcements. It's just down, and that's unprofessional at best and very sketchy at worst.

Now, I'm about to head out to a showing of Ant Man and the Wasp and need to pay with my own cash, so I think this is about where I draw the line with MoviePass.

Better pacing, though I admit a lot of the details they changed were cooler and better in the books. The chemistry between actors was solidly B-list as well, but...everything was done well enough that none of the weaknesses really bring down the whole all that much.

Comment on No Man's Sky Next on PC: Brilliant visuals but performance is concerning in ~games

Medium settings is pretty accessible, though.
Maybe I'll give the next book in the series a try, then; I definitely enjoyed the writing style, but I found the entire first book not at all compelling.
