I was about to say some of the ones you already quote so I will give you one very famous that is still very present today from the 1976 movie "network". I can't recommend it enough if you haven't seen it.

I don’t have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It’s a depression. Everybody’s out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel’s worth. Banks are going bust. Shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and there’s nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there’s no end to it. We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as if that’s the way it’s supposed to be.

We know things are bad – worse than bad. They’re crazy. It’s like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don’t go out anymore. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we are living in is getting smaller, and all we say is: ‘Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials and I won’t say anything. Just leave us alone.’

Well, I’m not gonna leave you alone. I want you to get MAD! I don’t want you to protest. I don’t want you to riot – I don’t want you to write to your congressman, because I wouldn’t know what to tell you to write. I don’t know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is that first you’ve got to get mad. (shouting) You’ve got to say: ‘I’m a human being, god-dammit! My life has value!’

So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell: ‘I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not gonna take this anymore!’

I want you to get up right now. Sit up. Go to your windows. Open them and stick your head out and yell – ‘I’m as mad as hell and I’m not gonna take this anymore!’ Things have got to change. But first, you’ve gotta get mad!…You’ve got to say, ‘I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not gonna take this anymore!’ Then we’ll figure out what to do about the depression and the inflation and the oil crisis. But first, get up out of your chairs, open the window, stick your head out, and yell, and say it: ‘I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not gonna take this anymore!’

When he says: ‘I’m a human being, god-dammit! My life has value!’ almost makes me cry.

Sorry again, I am not really good at explaining myself. I will remark this, I am completely against racism, I don't think that the oppressed are the ones to be blame and at the end of the day we both want the best for everyone. But, putting it in another words, I feel like they are combating racism with more racism and that would create even more resistance against the acceptance of the black community between the whites, give excuses to the real racist to be how they are and that could go in the direction of a race war or the complete segregation between races.

Again, I don't mean to offend anybody and maybe my first statements where kind of rushed and confusing. Remember that it is just the opinion of a random person on the internet, I don't have any real answers, sadly. Putting again the example of my brother, my parents have understood the mistake they made and my brother has forgiven my parents. Now they are happier than ever, helping each other and living peacefully. Of course, it is not like they pretend than nothing happened but they have moved forward for the common well. The other option, would be my brother being resentful and angry the rest of his life for being rejected like he has been for more than 15 years, and that thing was eating him alive. I have worked everyday with them to avoid that and I think it is the biggest achievement of my life I dont give a flying fuck about my parents but I feel I have saved the life of my brother.

I hope something similar for the world and maybe is naive and silly but, I don't see another solution.

Oh no, I didn't wanted to say that, I don't meant that ".... the idea that people of color focusing on their race is a root of the problem, and that their "making a big deal out of it" is detrimental." Of course racism doesn't exist because people of certain race focus on their own problems. I would say it is the opposite, people of a race saying that the root of their own problems is another race like "mexicans are stealing our jobs". Until we manage to stop that stupid mentality we are doom.

Let me give you an example of my own experience. I have been living in Italy for around 5 years, I have born in Argentina from an italian family so I got the citizenship fairly easy. Since I arrived here, everyday they remember me that I am not italian, every time I speak they say " but, are you italian?" Or "where are you from?" Even if I am talking with my wife in a cafe they interrupt us to ask things like that. And they don't do it for curiosity, it is their way to say "what are you doing in my house".
Now if I go back to Argentina I am a traitor for leaving the country I dress weird, speak with kind of an accent so I am not argentinian anymore. In just 5 years I got stuck on limbo, I don't have any friends besides some expats from another countries and the ones who still talk to me from Argentina. I have given up to the idea of having italian friends and being part of the community.

I feel very touch by your story, my brother is gay and had a similar problem, he open up first to me and I was super cool with that, he got the courage to try the same with my parents and they kick him out of the house. I stayed in the house of my parents and started working when I was 13 to help him to rent a place and eat until he manage to do it alone. Was very traumatic for him but even for me, I couldn't understand why my parents did something like that, I was too young and naive to get it. Luckily he is doing excellent nowadays.

As a non American I find all this things ridiculous. This obsession with dividing and categorizing every little change in race and ethnicity is more harmful than anything else. Who cares about your 10% Iranian and your 3% Cherokee ancestry it is just non sense. Instead of leaving behind race and going forward all together your are going in the exact opposite direction. The day racism ends will be the day when nobody cares about race anymore, not the day where every race has their own ethnostate. The "country club" is just another step in the wrong direction.

I wouldn't be surprised if there will be a special part of the bus just for black people again but this time where the blacks who ask for it.

Well, he has a new girlfriend and she turn out to be a fucking psycho. All the time she was trying to talk shit of my wife because she thought my wife was trying to still her boyfriend, completely ridiculous.vridiculous. Apparently she also had the same problem with her own sister. Anyway, we left and went to a friend of my wife. This girl has a 2 month pregnancy and has a 5y/o kid. She was bitching about nausea every time she had to do anything so we spent almost 2 weeks helping her to do everything, taking care of the children, cooking, cleaning, etc while at the same time she was calling her husband saying she was doing everything alone. Now we rent an airbnb, never again.

Sorry for the late response I have been very busy. I went to the country side in Denmark. The people were amazing, if you manage to prove being a good person they will help you a lot. Basically I aplied to work on a farrm with workaway and from there they offered me a job as a lumberjack. And living in their house, was a family business. Im my experience people is quite reserved and took me some time to make some friends, but once you become they will treat you as part of their family. One thing, they take honesty very seriously I have seen a guy being caught lying and got almost kicked out of the town.

I've live one year in Denmark as an immigrant and they open the doors to me and help me a lot. Anyway I live in small rural areas working with farmers so my experience could be completely different to what could be happening in Copenhagen.

What understand from the article is that they are trying to divide the ghettos so the immigrants have to mix more with the locals, thing that I consider good. I have met people who has been living for more than 10 years and can't say a word in the local language because all their life goes around immigrants and that completely divides the country.

Amazing paper! My post is just the rambling of someone who has been using internet for a long time.

Regarding the VPN you are right about that, it can make the things more complicated for someone who wants your data. It becomes something like the problem of the lock and the bike, you can always get a stronger lock but maybe cost more than the bike itself and for the thief would depend on the skill and how much want to get that bike.

Finally, of course if the goverment of any country really want you, they will get you, but again that excludes almost all the population. What an average person could do to reach that level of interest? I don't know.
What I was trying to say is that people talk like the Chinese government is the only one spying when we know that everyone is doing it.

Internet privacy it is a farce and companies are using the fear for profit. In reality the only thing you can do is decide in which company do you trust.
First thing you choose is the ISP, we all know that they are all scummy and get caught every year selling information, throttling services, lying, etc.
Then, if you want to be safe from your ISP you have to get a VPN and it is the same old story again. Even if you manage to never send or receive a bit outside the VPN you have to trust they are not loging everything and selling it.
It is a never ending story, because after that you have to trust the OS, the hardware manufacturers of each piece of your phone/pc, the modem, the router, the apps, and if you are talking with someone make it double because you have to trust all the same things from the one receiving the message.
People talks about huawei spying for the CPP like if things like PRISM doesn't exist. Every country has some kind of mass surveillance program and there is nothing we can do about it. If I were american I would prefer being spy by the Chinese that can't get me extradited.

The latino / Hispanic like the African / American are ridiculous categories that only works inside USA. I have an english friend that happens to be black he is not american and his heritage in England is longer than most of the people who lives there, so why I would call him African or American?.
Something different happen with me, I am from Argentina, my family all come from Italy. So, I am a latino? Well I come from latin america, Hispanic? I don't have anything to do with Spain, European? I haven't born there.

What I meant is that those races are just made up categories that has little to do with a real race and just create more problems than anything else. I would suggest to just stick with nationalities and forget about race because our past is so mixed that doesn't makes sense anymore.

There are a few sides in this thing.
On one side, I am with you regarding the excess of useless information and lack of concentration nowadays. The level of "noise" we have to coupe is insane and the only way of dealing with that is discarding a lot of things that goes through our heads. Sadly, we lose also real information and ideas, I feel like my mind is always with the buffers saturated and losing things to being able to keep track of the new ones.
On the other side, I am not saying that we are not insensitive but this world has been always rough, think that the last public execution happened in 1937, so people gathered to see a man being executed for no other reason than sadism and curiosity, in the time probably your grandfather was alive. Anyway, I am not saying that this is not horrible I meant that we are not as far as the medieval ages as we like to think.

I am sad not because the world is like this but because we could change all the rules whenever we want but we won't.
