I love panel shows as well! They're so much better than American talk shows/gameshows. Especially Would I Lie to You.

I feel like most people on reddit (and probably here, too) only really watch American shows, but there IS a lot of good content in Europe and other countries as well. Sometimes those shows come to the US in a butchered, Americanized remake, but those are rarely as good as the original show.

Bonus points if it's not orginally in English (so British & Australian shows don't count either!).

One of my favorite tv shows (at least the first season) is the French 2012 supernatural drama series Les Revenants. It's got a captivating story with some great acting and a killer soundtrack (by the Scottish post-rock band Mogwai, if you're into that kind of music). It fell apart a bit in season 2 and never got picked up for a third season, but it's still very much worth watching for that first, brilliant season.

I think ~books should be the major group with ~literature being a subgroup. ~literature would be a more niche, very literature-focused subgroup (like /r/literature), while ~books would be a more general catch-all, encompassing many other subgroups like ~fantasy.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm familiar with RES and agree that a RES-like dropdown box would be a perfect solution.

I saw that too but it's not working for me. I'm not entirely sure why.

I'm from Belgium. Belgium is one of the two countries in the world, along with France, that uses AZERTY. The big problem with an AZERTY keyboard is that there is no tilde key. So, in orde to use the key or tag a sub (ex. ~fantasy, like you'd do /r/fantasy), AZERTY users have to manually copy the tilde every single time they want to use it. Usually this isn't that big of a problem, but when the tilde is such a key feature on a website, I think it does become a bit of a problem.

For reference, France has a population of 67M, while Belgium has around 11M.

I can't believe My Dad Wrote a Porno hasn't been mentioned yet. It's this guy and two friends (one guy & one gal) and the guy's dad wrote an erotic novel. They listen to it and have a laugh and I'm selling it really badly but it's by far the funniest podcast I know.

It's a really fantastic book! I only finished it around a year ago and already want to re-read it. I was very surprised that I actually liked it, since I despise most (if not all) superhero media-- but it's definitely not your conventional superhero story. One of my favorite parts of it is how creative the author gets with the superpowers. Most other superhero books or content (Marvel, Watchmen, ...) pale in comparison.
