Well among other projects, I'm finishing up some utilities to convert mp3 phone calls to text, format them and then archive them in an apache solr instance. Along with that I'm writing a simple web page with flask and jinja to take search queries and output paginated results from solr to have a minimal personal search engine finally. Aside from that I'm finishing up a youtube meta data archival utility as part of a archival project with the archive team. And finally I'm adding some finishing touches on my assembler and my init system. So got a bit of a full weekend. :)

So I've been listening to A Tribe Called Red, and Neon Natives, both first nations based DJ groups. Really good music, ya'll should give it a look.

No, your greatest accomplishment is meeting a dashing young rogue I'd say. Everything else comes up rather short in comparison.

Yep all depends on the group, we've been roleplaying for almost a decade now so we're rather second hat at this.

So yes I could definitely see Cryptomancer lending itself to a board game very, very well. But from running it myself as long as your group understands the basics of public key crypto and the like. It can very fun to actually run. Plus since it's an rpg, you can mix and match rules as you wish.

Incidentally if you are willing to try, as my group is currently on an indefinite hiatus, I'd love to get another group going on it.

I myself happen to be looking for people who'd be up to play a spot of Shadowrun or preferably Cryptomancer.

Heh, thanks but I think I'll stick with rust. Has some pretty damn good unicode support. Thanks though. :)

Well yes but given that it's an emergent property contained in the brain chances are, you move the brain you move the consciousness. For now.

Yeah I can definitely see that, iirc I believe it was formed partially by a bunch of Ruby devs.

I tried learning Elixir/Erlang ages ago, honestly it was the syntax that put me off. Found it more weird then other functional languages.
