What I don't understand is why, when someone is hurting either physically or emotionally, the societal expectation is strongly against suicide (and assisted suicide isn't really a thing in most places)

Meanwhile, if your dog or cat was seriously unwell and unlikely to get better, I think just about everyone would have it put down, 'for the best'

Although a human being is significantly different to an animal, we are also different in that we have the ability to make informed decisions about ourselves. All things considered therefore, why can't we choose to end our own life, in the event that is the best option?

Started playing about 11 or 12 years ago on my current account, and still play (give or take a few 'break' periods). Despite serious changes to the game and complete changes of direction, I do still find it enjoyable.

I agree, I'd have a hard time recommending reddit these days. A lot of the subs on there these days would've been individual forums years ago, so whilst I do like the fact it's collated in one place, it's also the biggest flaw when there's power mods/users sit top of their game across all the popular subs. If your opinion doesn't follow the majority of the sub you post in, your voice is totally lost

Using J/K as next/previous is used on more than just reddit though; Facebook, Twitter and YouTube use them too

A workaround long existed for Twitter in that you could visit the mobile version of the site and view content more freely, but they seem to have caught on and patched that over fairly recently

The consciousness and awareness of who and what we are, as individuals and as a collective. The fact that we, for the most part; have free will to work towards our ambitions and end goals.

I have about £130 worth of BTC I bought quite a while back, in a wallet I can't access. I somehow came up with a password so secure, even I don't know what it is. Certainly not making that mistake...

Although I'm currently out of work for personal reasons, IT support is (and likely always will be) my thing. Call it insanity but I actually really enjoy that style of work, and the feeling of helping people out. Obviously I realise it's thankless much of the time, but that doesn't really bother me.

I'm a strong believer in playing with new tech and learning things the hands-on way, whatever rabbit holes it may lead down
