Oh yeah, the Illuminatus trilogy, is something that I think you can enjoy at any or better despite any age.

Well I would say Principia Discordia and Zen without Zen masters, if only to reduce the illusion of adulthood, and leave space for the true development of the self.

In judging such theories and asking which is true, I try to setup the environment in which I'm thinking:

    1. why am I thinking this? ie what is the gain of better understanding of that issue? what do I want to achieve?
    2. how am I going to approach this? what axioms am I accepting based on 1 so that I can judge the theory.

In setting up the environment I try to understand things that I want to change, challenge and create. Only by observing the self, you can move forward in self-education. However some tools (and each theory in my mind is a tool) can only work good in a limited number of cases. Thus if you feel that your current theories don't align well with what you want (they become a non-creative struggle) feel free to try out others. Theory without practice is mostly moot.

I think that the best solution is that I never sit on it for more than one hour. I get up, do something else for at least 15 minutes and then continue my work. My back feels better this way.

Since in my language I can use the word person that is neutral, but I think this option is also available in english. Wording like "a person and its cat" is quite natural so I think it's a good sidestep. I also prefer the per pronouns, at least they are a new word and not a singular plural confusion.

Well I was trying to get into programming for years, doing things around and never did it click until I stumbled upon lisp. It was maybe a perfect match for me and led me into getting a really deeper understanding of programming. I guess that this won't work for everyone. But if you feel you like programming but something is missing then try to learn lisp and I think it will be worth it.

Thanks a lot, glad you liked it. It's a bit of work in progress, but I haven't found time lately to hack on it. I followed you in the fediverse, considering you are your-user-name@mastodon.social!

Can someone, who is a bit more understanding of free software licenses, explain if AGPL would make Amazon return code to Elasticsearch or other such companies? Is this a solved problem, apart from the fact that they use a non-copyleft license?

If my assumption is correct, why do they (these companies like Elasticsearch, Mongodb) feel that this wouldn't be a sane solution?

I'm also at a Pleroma instance, specifically you can find me @bendersteeed@pleroma.soykaf.com. I'm not really big on it though, just posting random stuff and jacking into random discussions.

I didn't know that I had to find a chocobo, or rather I couldn't take one from the farm. So I grinded for a week in the area and was able to lvl up enough to beat and take the Beta for the Enemy Skill materia. This made the first half of the game a breeze..
