Last semester, I met with my "assistant" (who was just another college student making like $16/hr) for around 3 hours a week. It was split up into a 1 hour meeting earlier in the week, and a two hour meeting later on. I would use the one hour meeting as a time to go over all the work I had been assigned in the past few days, and plan out a schedule for doing that work. The two hour meeting later in the week was just "coworking time", where my "assistant" would basically breathe down my neck to keep me on task. My assistant would also do regular check-ins with me via text when we weren't meeting.I cannot overstate how much this program helped me. I went from regularly turning in assignments late and barely staying afloat to actually being on top of my work. It genuinely changed how I look at myself as a student, and how my ADHD affects me as a person and the kind of supports that I need.

Comment on What is a typical daily or special occasion breakfast for you? in ~food
cmot17 Around last year I started having a bagel w/ cream cheese for breakfast every morning and I’ve just stuck to that. Sometimes I’ll go with friends and get pancakes or waffles but it’s a bagel 95%...Around last year I started having a bagel w/ cream cheese for breakfast every morning and I’ve just stuck to that. cmot17 Just chiming in to say that I absolutely love Baskin Robbins mint chip. It's really one of the best mint chip ice creams out there. Comment on Let's add (and rearrange?) some groups + a few notes about other short-term plans in ~tildes.official
cmot17 As an engineering student I may be biased, but I think this would be great. There are certain topics that I would definitely post about there that I feel like don't really belong in other groups. As an engineering student I may be biased, but I think this would be great. Comment on What, in your opinion, are the best true wireless earbuds for the price? in ~tech
cmot17 I truly can't recommend airpods enough. My set of 2nd gen pros are basically the only earbuds I ever use.I truly can't recommend airpods enough. My set of 2nd gen pros are basically the only earbuds I ever use.

Comment on Redditors of Tildes, which subreddits are you missing the most during the blackout? in ~tech
cmot17 I really liked some of the niche technical subs. r/usbCHardware was a favorite of mine. Also r/multicopter (FPV drone discussion).I really liked some of the niche technical subs. r/usbCHardware was a favorite of mine. Also r/multicopter (FPV drone discussion).
This is pretty specific to my situation, but I'm going into my second year of engineering school. Summer internships are a pretty major "rat race". I'm already readying my portfolio website and materials for next summer. There's definitely a lot of pressure to get a job at a "good" place like Apple, Tesla, SpaceX, etc. I'm pretty worried about it, but realistically even if I don't get a position at a more prestigious place I will do entirely fine.
