Don't rush into buying a bow. the club I'm at has bows to rent, if you can, try the rentals out. Talk to the other club members. Most will be stoked to let you try theirs. You can get a feel for what you like and what you don't

If you just want to shoot targets (competition) a recurve bow is an easy way to get back into it. If you want to hunt at some point you'll most likely want to go to a compound eventually.

I've had 2 different types of Kobo readers over about 8 years, on both of them i just turned off the wireless and never turned it on again. My main reason is battery life but i also bought a e-reader to read books and nothing else. I have better devices for connectivity.

Reddit continues to make the same major mistakes like it predecessors like Digg did before it. The mistake they are making this time is:

    "Reddit is not the product"

People don't come to Reddit to see Reddit, they come to see articles/posts and interactions from real people. In Reddit's quest to deny AI free training data they are going to kill the discoverability of their platform. Slow death, quick death we'll see what happens

The previous Labour government having a majority under MMP was an anomaly, due to a number of outside factors. It's the only majority ever under MMP in NZ.

There was no way Labour was going to keep a majority no matter what kind of campaign they ran. A correction was going to happen even if they ran an outstanding campaign (which they didn't). The numbers they received are consistent with historical numbers for a government that has been voted out in previous elections for both National and Labour.

It just looks worse because of the numbers of MP's they had in parliament from the 2020 election

E-readers are awesome, while not quite as good as paper as far as the pure reading experience goes, their other features make up this minor deficiency.

Technology wise they only need to do 1 job well; read books. Most of the other "features" like on device store, wifi, bluetooth, are usually a second rate experience. Useful in a pinch but 99% of the time i manage my books with my computer. So i turn off all of that stuff to save battery life so i can turn more pages. If the e-reader has a Good screen, good storage and a easy interface i'm happy.

At this point i think e-readers are on the incremental development train. they slowly get a little nicer every year.

I've been using e-readers for over 10 years now my first e-reader lasted about 6 years until i completely wore out the page turning button. Currently using a Kobo h2o which is touch screen so i can't wear out a button this time i plan on using it until it breaks or the battery life gets to a point where i can't get through a novel. It does the job i see no reason to replace it

Depends how you like to learn. Nearly everything you want to figure out for Linux is available to learn on the Internet. The downside, especially when you are starting out in any particular task is filtering useful content.

I found having a book about Linux commands very helpful speeding up this process. Want to know how the "cat" command works/how to use it. There will be dozen websites/forums/reddit with basic usage. If that's all you need cool done. But if you want to go a bit deeper it may take some time to find a good example. A good book open the index find the "cat" page and it goes through the command from simple to advanced usage, but no cut and paste :-)
