I haven’t used those, but I’ve been using their free compute instances and Kubernetes services for a few months now and so far they’re legit.

edo_ergo_sum I was able to get IRIX running in MAME, but it was excruciatingly slow. I found the performance to be not worth it for tinkering in IRIX, but it did boot up and all.I was able to get IRIX running in MAME, but it was excruciatingly slow. I love old Unix workstations, so I'm rocking a Sun SPARCstation 10 and a SGI Indigo2. I've been trying to find a period-appropriate CRT monitor for them, but it looks like there's also a recent retro gaming movement that has sent CRT prices sky high. With the help of tgcware, I've been able to get some modern software running on Solaris 7. There's also fun stuff to play with, like Internet Explorer for UNIX and Macintosh Application Environment. I'm even toying with the idea of using it to host my personal website.
I also have a SE/30 that currently boots System 7 off a BlueSCSI, but I'd really like to get A/UX running on it. Unfortunately, A/UX doesn't seem to like the GGLABS MACSIMM I have installed in it. Maybe I just need to obtain a second classic Mac...

The reviews on the remake are mixed, but I find it fun nonetheless. It's a puzzle game with somewhat roguelike aspects. It's definitely goofy.

The internet was also a separate world. These days, it's integrated into our daily lives and is now mundane: it's part of our phones, watches, televisions, cars. Many of us just leave our web browsers running with a bunch of tabs. Back then, it wasn't as pervasive. It was a distinct thing that you had to consciously connect to and use. The action of firing it up and jacking in helped delineate it from the rest of the world and turned it into an experience.
I'm certainly not complaining about the fact that it's now everywhere and integrated, because I love the connectivity and conveniences it offers. I just miss having that distinct feel.

Like many others, my interest in Tildes was reignited by Reddit current events. I’m here more to discover a new community than to abandon Reddit. When I first encountered Tildes, I believe it required registration to even read the posts. I don’t think I ever got around to requesting an invitation (or if I did, I can’t find it in my archived emails). What I like about this place is that it evokes the feel of the 90s Internet.
Speaking of the 90s Internet, one of my hobbies is retrocomputing. I particularly love the machines of the late 80s through the late 90s, which is when I started to really get into computers. I picked up QBASIC and Pascal on my homebuilt 386 in those days. I enthusiastically participated in Mac vs PC flame wars on the local BBS.
Other stuff I enjoy doing: camping, backpacking, climbing, skiing, photography, home and auto DIY.
See you around!
I don’t have osteoporosis, but since you mentioned arthritis, I do have chronic inflammatory and autoimmune issues. I was able to get most of it under control thanks to a biologic, but still have occasional flare ups where I need to take something for the pain. There are some types of pain where NSAIDs and opioids have no effect, but a small dose of cannabis works wonders.
