Biden gets talked about more because quite simply the perception he projects is one that anyone who has dealt with elderly people will instantly recognize, Trump doesn't.

I had to grab my full history via GDPR request (which can take a bit of time to get returned to you) and then had the tool delete all my history. If you don't do this it will only delete roughly the last 1000 comments you made.
Due to rate limiting I think I had to run the tool 2x to get everything fully removed.
After that I have it setup on my linux machine with a cronjob to delete any comments on reddit after 45 days, I figure 45 days is long enough to have a useful conversation but doesn't have the long term impact of being training or revenue generation tools for reddit.
That said my reddit usage has gone WAY down in recent months.

It's the nuclear option, it should be held only if the instance as a whole is some sort of massive problem. People need to take agency for their own safety and use tools like blocking and muting to moderate their own experience.
The entire fabric of this comes apart and becomes entirely useless if this path of federation discrimination is done.

Minhaj has done absolutely nothing different than any of the others I just mentioned.

By that point I had aged out of both shows but I still remember how much of a cool feeling it was having them both on the show at the same time.

You would be hard-pressed to find a Canadian born before the late 1990s who wouldn't rave about how amazing his show was as a kid.
Many people refer to Mr Dressup as Canada's version of Mr Rogers. The two men were very close friends Mr Rogers was the best man at Mr Dressup's wedding for example, and Mr Rogers was actually developed in Canada, and Ernie (Mr Dressup) came up to Canada with Mr Rogers to create/work the show. After his contract was up Mr Rogers took the show back to the USA and Ernie created first Butternut Square and later Mr Dressup to fill the programming gap up here.
I've often said that much of the "polite/nice" Canadian stereotype comes from a few generations growing up watching his show.
Highly recommend giving the docu a watch and hope it tickled a bit of your childhood nostalgia as it did for me tonight.

If you have a massive platform and huge resources you kind of have a responsibility which goes beyond just publishing the first thought on your mind to millions of people.
I'd argue it's MORE irresponsible for a journalist from a newspaper to be putting this out than someone posting on a social media site their thoughts ... the journalist is at least supposed to be representing a source of truth.

The author doesn't like Musk and is using their platform to find a new angle to attack him (which is silly because there are lots of obvious things to be critical of him for).
The title of the article (and the "quote" in the middle of it) is coming from the author's mind completely and not Musk's mouth, and you need to get halfway through the article before anything about Musk even comes up.
What did Musk do to get this article written? He likely himself went to Wikipedia to see something and saw the giant banner that they run all the time and made an off-the-cuff comment about it (like Musk often does) and then seeing people get all serious about that off-the-cuff comment made a further joke with "dickipedia".
Just feels like someone using a famous/controversial figure's name to get clicks on an article that does nothing to further a single person on the planet's life/understanding of anything.

Japanese originally had names for four colours: black, white, red, and blue. Green was often considered a shade of blue. Original documents used the word AO (blue) for the lights instead of MIDORI (sprout / green).
Follow up link that explains why we use Green, Yellow, Red: https://www.rd.com/article/traffic-lights/
edit: On doing some more reading on this it seems actual green lights are becoming more popular as LEDs get used more and more. Not sure why but apparently it's not uncommon to find in the same town a selection of green, teal, and blue lights.

How do you reason out that Companies exist to serve people rather than to make money? Also who gets to define "abuse them"?
