The front of the card is the word in spanish, and the back is a picture I associate with it. I also download the pronounciation from Forvo so that it plays when the word comes up.
It takes some time to make cards (and download all the pronounciations), but I'm at 64 right now and I really do feel like they're all sinking in. There's a master list of 625 words in the book and I'm hoping to knock them all out. After that, it'll be a two-pronged attack of continuing the Anki deck and Clozemaster to learn enough vocab and grammar for semi-fluency.
Learning to roll my R's is another beast altogether.

What purpose does Tildes serve that Reddit does not?
It's a question I'm sure has been asked in a better way many times before, but somehow I haven't found it in search so I'll just post it here.

Do you read self-help books? And if so, any recommendations?

It's a genre that friends, coworkers, and family will chide you for reading, and often self-help books will repeat the same old principles. Yet, I find myself drawn to books like How to Win Friends and Atomic Habits again and again, in a hope that reading them will fix my life's problems. And honestly, some books in the genre do provide some great advice.

I let my boyfriend drive me most of the time in his truck. He likes driving (and finds it less stressful) a lot more than I do :)
