But then it wouldn't make sense to release the report to existing customers, which would leak all of that information as well.

The issue is the commercialization of it, i.e., investors that buy large amounts of apartments to rent them out. Outlawing this is probably difficult, it might be easier to just raise the tax on this type of business, so that it's not (as) profitable. This would generate short-term income for the city, help out the hotel industry (as prices for airbnb places goes up) and help residents as apartments are sold due to non-profitability. Of course, this is not an overnight fix.
Also, obviously the number of tourists would probably go down, but that shouldn't be the main focus if the people in your city can't afford to live there.

Right, I saw that in the article as well. That makes it even more odd to me. I'm assuming that NordVPN paid for this audit, so why would they accept these terms by the audit company? It just makes the audit seem like a "oh yeah, we're totally safe and secure guys, just trust us." rather than any substantiated evidence, which would basically be the point of the audit, no? I.e., (re)gain trust from existing (who get to see the report) and potential customers.

Anyways, I'm pretty certain that the report will get "leaked" within the day anyways.

Seems odd that they don't mention who of the "Big 4" companies did the audit and how the audit was done. It could be anything from filling out some questionaire to full on forensics analysis of servers, because a "review our servers and code and to interview the employees in charge of maintaining our service" (quote from the NordVPN blog article) could mean basically anything.

Also what is "However, in order to uphold the integrity of the audit and its results, we are currently significantly limited in what we can publicly say about it." supposed to mean? How does that even make sense?

Honestly, I'm not saying that NordVPN are in fact logging anything, but this "audit" doesn't really increase my confidence in their services, rather the opposite.

As @deimos has now also removed this thread of yours, I think it's safe to say that he rather agrees with @Algernon_Asimov than you. Not necessarily in the reason of removal but in the act itself.

Also, I disagree that @Algernon_Asimov is acting purposefully antagonistic, you just interpret it that way. You continue to question their answers as if to catch them in some sort of logical trap which would somehow delegitimize the removal of your post, even though @Algernon_Asimov has no say in that whatsover. You ask why your post was removed, @Algernon_Asimov explained that the only one who can tell you isn't available currently and offers a best guess, which is only natural and honestly probably pretty close to the real reason, so they indeed did their best to "help me answer my question".

LinusTechTips have been doing this since the beginning of the WAN Show (their livestream on twitch). Also, as nathan mentioned, they delete the video after the livestream is over.
So to suddenly issue strikes for these videos without any previous warning (after years of it being fine) isn't very "business friendly", for lack of a better word.
Also, they upload the whole livestream to youtube afterwards, so youtube even makes money of it.
