I would give Duolingo a try. I've been doing Russian for a few weeks and it's pretty good with it's spaced repetition and learning!

This is pretty big. It's so much easier than setting up wine and trying to patch things and override settings to get things working. I'm just happy I can start gaming more and more!

Over the last 12 months I've dropped: Snapchat, Instagram, Telegram and a few other smaller ones I can't remember at the moment. Soon to come is Facebook, just waiting for a few friends to get back to me with their mobile numbers and/or discord usernames.

I've kept Twitter (Probably next to go), Tildes, WhatsApp and Discord. I'm hoping to fill in the gap from Facebook messenger with discord, using that to keep in contact with friends in the short-term.

If you are able to, definitely self-host. Otherwise as others have said, seedbox providers are likely the cheapest per GB.

New Zealand here - we don't really tip at all. Some restaurants have a space to add a tip on the receipt but it's not expected or too common.

I completely agree with you. Discord is pretty easy seeing as there's mobile, desktop and web clients. It's one of those vicious circles, people use it.. because it's so widely used.

You have to be careful with that kind of thing. This one seems great - but another I saw awhile back would give you a MacBook, accommodation in SF and training then you'd have to pay it back after you start earning over 50k/year. It can definitely help some people but others it'll start a huge hole of debt that is a struggle to climb out of.
