The only way I think they can do this is to empower millions of it's users to regulate the site. Recent reports of an internal 'trustworthiness' score shows they are likely already working on it.

He found a market, in directionless young men mostly, and is selling something very appealing and helpful to them. A lot of his advice would come naturally to anyone who's been raised in a semi-conservative or religious household. My wish is that he would stop courting the alt-right (by re-tweeting dodgy links and youtube accounts).

CmdrTaco actually goes on to explain a lot of his rationale behind Meta Moderation (moderating the moderators) in this podcast. The one thing I gleaned from the interview was that any discussion forum needs a lot of human moderation to stay one step ahead of trolls looking to game whatever automated moderation exists.

Is there any good description with examples of how this worked at Slashdot? I never was a frequent poster and never got mod points. Maybe we can bring it to Tildes.

I thought Reddit used the 'Wilson Score Interval' for it's Hot posts. It makes a predication of the trajectory of a post and then brings it higher than the first comments. I don't know how effective it is though. This post on Medium describes it in some detail.

I thought Tildes was heading towards giving individuals some kind of weighted score based on quality of previous posts. Has this been implemented yet?

It might be Murdoch owned, but the WSJ has been a fairly neutral, centre-right read for me... that is if you avoid the editorial section.

Neat recipe! Have you tried subbing out the chocolate chips with something more keto-friendly? How do you think this compares to store-bought bars?
