I love downtempo music, I love a good blues song and I really appreciate some nice, mellow instrumental tracks.

But I could never understand the hype for Moby.

To me, it is the most boring, uninspired music of it's respective genres and era.

The more popular songs from this record in particular, "Natural Blues," "Bodyrock," and "Honey" are repetitive and pretentious in my opinion.

I always got the impression that Moby's music was so surface level that other people who just barely broke from the mainstream would dig it, but more hardcore music heads would just look past it.

1999 was a vastly different time in music and music discovery, my daughter was born this year, and I finally got to see deeper into the world of music thanks to Napster etc., but to this day, I roll my eyes when I hear anything Moby.

I'm sorry, I know this sounds shitty, and that's not my intention, I promise. I'm glad we all like different stuff, but I just can't wrap my head around the hype for this particular artist.

I spent an hour on the website last night and every single download I tried was just a few kb.

Even its torrent option wouldn't recognize my torrent client apps.

Not OP, but I love knowing what's visible in the night sky, planets, constellations etc. And it's a neat conversation starter if you're out at night with other humans.

Shuffling, I have found, tends to pick and favor many of the same songs every time leaving many out entirely.

As a data hoarder, I have to like most of an album to consider putting a band in my library. If I only like a song or 2 from a band, I just won't keep it. That being said, if you put my music collection on a single playlist, it will play over 3 months.

I know my system wouldn't make sense for most people, but I like whole albums, and don't listen to "hits" or whatever.

I mostly listen to metal, classical, hip-hop, trihop, downtempo, shoegaze, jazz and some stuff on the edm spectrum.

I always tell people who express interest in vegetarianism to not strive to fit into a category, and do what feels right and is good for you. Hell, even reducing the amount in one's diet is a big step for some, and that's great in my eyes!

I'm not OP, but for me it's that meditation isn't a destination, but rather a journey.

You have to forgive yourself for missing a session or landmark.

Meditation doesn't mean perfection or anything absolute. It's okay to have thoughts, it's okay to miss a day, it's okay to be distracted.

You aren't going to sit on a log for 7 years and transcend like the Buddha of myth.

The goals of meditation in this busy world can be short and sweet. You don't need to perfect it, hell, don't even try.

Manage your expectations and be in the moment. Don't attempt to squeeze water from a stone. You can do this.

I have put off watching this show because it wasn't convenient, but then a friend kept suggesting it because I'm Native American, even though I'm Cherokee (sigh,) and that just turned me off even more, not to mention Kevin Costner and the whole "Dances With Wolves," thing.

Nowadays, I'm just hearing how bad it is, and I'm glad I never dipped my toes into it.
