Yep, I also frequent r/fcbayern. I have tried some other of my club's "fan" websites and they just don't feel the same as the subreddit.

I personally use Unraid and I would recommend it to anyone. I absolutely love it. You just need to install a few plugins like the enabler for docker-compose and appdata backups.

Currently hosting the following on my Unraid server:

    • VSCode - notes (using Dendron)
    • Homepage - home dashboard
    • Jellyfin - IPTV streaming (there is an xstream api addon that works wonderfully)
    • Linkding - bookmarks management
    • Microbin - pastebin
    • Miniflux - RSS reader
    • MongoDB - personal db for an API on a project
    • Navidrome - music
    • Overseer - Plex requests (family loves this)
    • Plex - probably my most used, bought a lifetime pass a couple years ago so won't be moving away
    • Prowlarr - auto downloads
    • RSSHub - creating RSS feeds
    • Uptime Kuma - server uptime tracker
    • Radarr + Sonarr - media download managers
    • SABnzbd - use net downloader
    • QBittorrent - backup if I can't find something on usenet
    • Twingate - Great VPN option
I also have a few VMs running for various tasks/apps that I found easier to run in Linux than in a Docker container.

I don't personally use subtitles, unless I am on a plane or something where I may not hear as well as I'd like. I am actually excited to turn on subtitles when I end up having kids. There are some interesting studies that show kids from households with subtitles on read at a much higher level compared to their peers.

I would recommend getting a Tidal subscription and use Tidal-Media-Downloader. Built up a sizeable flac library using that method. Much easier and faster than finding downloads online.

Getting everything set up (mainly getting a Usenet server provider and access to indexers) was somewhat of a challenge at first, but it has been fantastic.

Hopefully in the future there will be the ability to create your own groups to be more specific. I think that would probably get me coming back to this site more often than reading through ~sports or ~tech.

I was surprised to see that Kane was on 30 goals. Imagine if he moved to Man City a couple years ago like it was rumored!
