Now they're doing the switch, but they're competing against the switch 2. I gotta imagine it'll be most on price, particularly since the switch 2 is plenty powerful for games to not need a massive downgrade like they did with switch 1.

It is funny to me that one of the extremely limited real world use cases anyone has found for crypto requires a fully centralized authority to print the currency.

Whether it's a net positive or negative is a tough call. On the one hand, "capital flight" is majority "rich get richer" on the other, it's a good escape valve for cases where MoneyGram doesn't work for legal reasons.

Autocracy! I've been catching a lot of fashas by asking them what it means. It's the opposite of democracy. That's the realistic threat, dictatorship is a much higher bar to clear. The fact that Donald Trump is an autocrat is undeniable, given his failed auto-coup.

I've been pleasantly surprised at how few of the fashas even know that's a word. It's pretty easy to encourage their own research on the subject.

That's why they say focus on the not one but two Nazi salutes at the inauguration. That is undeniable. Anyone that looks at those photos and denies it, well, there's that old saying about the party's final command.

Just a joke that I don't touch grass or other natural objects because I'm a proper basement dweller.

It is a funny thought though, finding grass that hasn't been bioengineered by humanity is probably a lot tougher than I imagined. Perhaps I should have said a nice boulder.

The comments are interesting as well, and gives good perspective on how much sensibilities have changed in the past few decades.

In a PURELY hypothetical sense, my ideal would be, put me to sleep a few days before I die for as long as you can so I can get a decent idea of how the universe will end.

My fundamental curiosity in life is cosmology, partly for its potential to solve death. Once we know how the whole shebang is going out, we'll have a better idea whether the long sleep is really it or not.

I apologize for the harsh rhetoric but that documentary is an anti-labor pro-capitaliat piece of hot garbage. The fact that his conduct is even mentioned is a spit in the face of the real evil that these, let's be clear, convicted financial criminals have stolen from Kurvitz, and society at large.

If you or anyone else watches that documentary, you have to watch No Truce With Capital https://youtu.be/tDtfcknELe0
I also highly recommend the more straightforward what went wrong with the pmg documentary https://youtu.be/K1b5zyvsUBY

Packaging engineering! It's one of those things that sounds fake but is actually an exceptionally challenging and profitable career.

It's amazing what a difference packaging up the exact same thing in a different way can change things. My last job was software as a service and we became much more profitable after shuffling around which features go to which package. Exact same story, talked to users, found out they need X Y z not A B C so we offer that and they happily pay.
