I have a video gaming group of 6 that likes to work together, so I can tell you the biggest issue is finding co-op games that more that 4 players can play together on. The games we have had fun with are:

    • Valheim
    • 7 Days to Die
    • Terraria
    • Minecraft
    • Tabletop Simulator
    • Empyrion Galactic Survival
    • Team Fortress 2

How do you accomplish the keyboard shortcut to a given virtual desktop in Windows?

I had to move back to windows from Linux with DWM when I setup a second monitor and couldn't have variable refresh rate in games anymore and one huge thing I miss is the ALT+# shortcuts to virtual desktops.

I played both BatMUD and 3 Kingdoms back in college. The most interesting aspects of MUDs to me is the ability to work your way up and become a wizard who can then write code to expand the world (add new rooms, items, mobs, etc). Some MUDs stayed perpetually fresh by doing that.

I was a wizard on 3k back in the 90s. I remember building an area based on the Alien and Aliens movies as well as some other stuff. I wonder if some of my areas are still around and being used...

cat-v I believe this site was built by Rob Pike et al from Bell Labs. Lots of interesting stuff on there. The page of quotes is probably my favorite.

Back in the early 90s, I ran a single line BBS on a 2400 baud modem in small town Idaho. I built it on TAG BBS (obscure, I know) and it had a medieval castle theme. I remember spending days and days on the asciii art to get it just right. I had discussion boards, downloads (including an adult section), and of course door games. I think most of my traffic was fellow high school kids logging on daily to play their tradewars turns.

I, too, would love a modern remake of tw2002!
