I don't know anything about the markup of proxies from here though.
edit: This is all with the caveat that there's disruption anyway mentioned above by Protected and ParcelForce the more business focused arm of Royal Mail aren't shipping to the USA.

Changing that to 16 however would keep that the case but the other way around.
To add to the list though you do also get the ability to work full time, make more independent medical decisions, and leave home (with caveats) which is a fair amount of responsibility similar to voting. It makes some sense to have the voting age unified across the four nations as well.

You can get cards that are bad for cheap and put together decks in your free time that are about evenly matched for a group to play with. This is very cheap and probably the best option for those without cash to invest.
This is the option that I did. I got enough cards from some 2nd hand chaff tubs on ebay that when I had a friend come over and explain deck building (more of the why he was making the choices he did than the basics which I'd read online) we were able to build 4-6 decks of similar quality. These decks would all have lost had I played with them against any one who'd put money into their decks but it meant that we could play with them against each other on an even playing field and soon I was able to rebuild the pile of cards into other decks depending on what I felt like playing and how much time I had to prep decks before playing.

It feels like throwing away technology they'll be using in jobs if they can't search those effectively and have to have printed off copies. There's also no chance of the library having enough physical copies of the recommended reading and requiring physical purchased editions suddenly makes the cost to sit an exam a lot more expensive for either the institution or the student.
If open book is their devices then that opens up the same Pandora's box of ai assistance that an open book exam would try to solve.

Sometimes it's worth a specific trip but it changes fairly regularly and is always a big temporary installation so it's often fun just to see what's going on at the moment if only for a few minutes. (And it's always free so I don't feel bad when it's sometimes a let down)

To be clear I don't think the current hurdles involved in trans healthcare are fair particularly the rigidity with which you have to perform gender disphoria. But, should there be requirements about informing people more clearly the downsides of surgerys such as knee replacements? Or would it actually not change anything because a knee replacement seems like the sensible thing to do when walking hurts and you can no longer do the hobbies you had due to the issues with it?

Tardigrade Almost always also combined with breaking by hitting the groundAlmost always also combined with breaking by hitting the ground
There is a range limit on the distances for high voltage AC cables but I'm not sure on the hard limits for it. If you needed to use DC that would additionally require the installation of transformers at both ends but either way the costs of these cables end up around £1.1mil ($1.4m) per km. Citation is for the North Sea but I don't imagine it's much cheaper in the US.
