Well I can tell you from personal experience, if you like supporting community theater you can just shoot an email to the technical director and ask. I was sucked into it from sitting on the front porch of the local bar where all the theater folks hang. An artist friend of mine was helping out and the next project was a 19 ft point to point biggest gayest swastika for the Mel Brooks musical The Producers. I did that one project and then ended up volunteering for the next 5 years. I did so much work there it was a second job I didn't get paid for but I loved every minute of it.

More places need to do this sort of centralized cooling. Not to mention more green spaces. I live in a small city and you can really experience a change in temp during the heat of summer walking past small parks and housing plots that have trees in the yards. Then walk a block further and get blasted by radiant heat from sides of buildings where there's no shade in sight.

One thing people miss is checking the pressure on their spare tire. Give that check, you most likely will need to fill it. Also check your owners manual to see how to use the jack in your vehicle if you have one. If you never changed a tire before watch this video from Dad, how do I... https://youtu.be/0KDMdYww4VE
Edit: A note on spare tires. You will normally have a compact spare thats smaller, needs a high air pressure, and LIMITS your maximum speed on the road - normally 55 mph. Thankfully this is printed on the tire 90% of the time. Read what the tire says and check the owners manual. If you're lucky enough to have a full size spare you can just slap it on as long as it has proper inflation and go on your merry way like nothing happened.

I got 3 levels for you.

    1. Quick B-Fast: Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwich. You pick the bread component. Get bacon from the farmers market.
    2. The Weekender: Make a baked potato the night before, use a russet for this. Morning of cut that up into quarter slices and fry hot in oil and butter. Fry to GBD. In another pan fry red onion, broccoli, and poblanos in butter and season with salt, white pepper, and chipotle powder until they have good color and are cooked but still have a little cronch to them. Mix with potatoes and serv immediately, garnish with chive if you like.
    3. The Show Stopper aka: Fishy Breakfast. Do this for when you have guests over they will lose their minds. Picked up some smoked salmon from the store. First thing fry some potatoes since the second part's going to go really fast and you can keep them on low heat to maintain crunchiness in temperature. The big step - scramble some eggs pour them into a medium low temp nonstick pan with butter and cook keeping them moving until they're at a soft scramble. Kill the heat and throw in chunks of the smoked salmon you picked up, just tear it apart and toss it in. The heat from the eggs and pan will heat the salmon back up. Eggs will retain their moisture and they won't be overcooked. Season with just a little bit more salt some black pepper garnish with chives. Toss it onto a plate with the potatoes serve it with a bread of your choosing.

Anything where you wanna taste the meat and not the heat! Jokes aside, literally anything. Steaks, burgs, brots, fish/shellfish, go nuts! The world is your oyster and you can shuck and cook that too!

In all honesty subscribe to your local newspaper's online publication. They only grab the top national stories and then all the local/state happenings. It helps keep print journalism alive and is normally under $20 a month. The bonus is that it's online so you can not read it for a few days and then go back and get the top stories from the website for the week. They normally put it in like a sidebar on the landing page.

My GF worked fine dining and watching the show gave her anxiety. In Fishes, season 2, I had to go smoke at the end of the episode. I'm come from an Italian American family and I know all that trauma and manipulation. Big props to the set designers - they correctly had jars of home canned tomatoes in the pantry. Best part of season 2 is Richie's glowup in Forks, the dude finally realized what we was truly good at and just fucking went hard. The two best lines this season "Microbasil FUCK YEAH!" and "Bro I think I gotta fire you, but I'm going to go ask."

In all honesty, any of them. But for sake of Vinny, Cal, and Claire hitting their stride I would say anything in the last 6 months. It's really come together.

Swegle Studios is good if you like deep dives into tornados and weather phenomena. He's not a meteorologist more of a historian and I think he went to ISU for film studies.

It was a good year for Ramps in the area. Made a bunch of Ramp Pesto and Ramp Butter to store in the freezer. Last night made a bolognese meat sauce with pasta. Haven't made a meat sauce in a very long time, turned out great. It's starting to get too hot to make pizza or bread so that's gonna be on the back burner for awhile :( The only upside is grilling which I finally cooked a whole t-bone that was in my freezer for 2 years. Turned out pretty good for how how old it was.

This is one of the reasons I buy my meat from one farmer at my Farmers Market. No antibiotics, no hog confinement, pasture raised beef, and an open invitation to come to their farm to see their animals. They do everything in house except for the processing, which is done by a local locker where their meat is not mixed with other producers. They started doing a monthly newsletter bitching about factory farms in the state which is a great read.

If you miss Claire from BA she has her own show on YT called Desert Person. She is an absolute delight and really gets into showing you the whole process of a dish. As a bonus, she in a recent episode went to a dairy to get milk and they got delightful B roll of her saying Hi to every cow. It was adorable.
