I'm aware of the differences and still think the remake is the perfect version of the original campaign. In my opinion, the changes are not important, but to each their own.

Similar, but I just jump in my car and drive. Pick a direction and go. No GPS directions. Just drive and listen to my favourite music. I have found fun and random places doing that. I really enjoy driving without time constraints (like needing to be at work for a certain time) so I find it does a good job of relaxing me.

I suppose I should add that I have an EV that I really enjoy driving and costs very little to drive.

343 or whatever they are called now is just a hollow shell. Bungie in their prime were really cooking and Microsoft not doing everything they could to keep them happy and part of the family was their first mistake.

Halo Infinite was a fun sandbox with stuff I remember from the Halo games but it wasn't a Halo game.

Krafton purchased Eleventh Hour Games which makes Last Epoch, easily the best ARPG currently on the market (in my opinion). It's weird to see them go from a dude on Reddit, to a really good game that I have sunk 100s of hours into, to being purchased by Krafton only for them to admit they are a garbage publisher with this focus on AI.

While I realize this doesn't mean EHG will immediately start using AI for their games, it does really change the dynamic. I had no problem supporting a small team making a cool game I enjoy. I don't know if I will be able to bring myself to purchase their future DLC.

I loved Dragonlance as a kid. I enjoy Warhammer 40k games but have never gotten deep into the lore or books. Is there a book or two you would recommend someone to get into the series?

Yeah you're not missing much. Even if it worked flawlessly, it is still a linear shooter that looks like it's in an open world but is not with poor writing and worse shooting. The only reason it got any attention was the Benzies involvement.

I'm guessing it was rushed out ahead of GTA6 as a lot of people just assumed it would be a GTA clone. In fact, it was just not worth anyone's time.

I finally upgraded to Windows 11 this past week and at least it was incredibly simple and effectively brought over my exact setup.

I think waiting to the very last day possible was the way to go, as I haven't had any issues getting used to it. I'm not a power user or anything, so 5 minutes with the uninstall tool and I feel good to go. I don't use my PC for much besides gaming so I can't imagine I will have many problems but I guess time will tell.

Final fantasy 6 - I still beat it once a year. Got the pixel remaster so I finally played it differently for the first time in like 20 years to get all the achievements.

Final Fantasy Tactics - In my opinion, the original PSX is basically a perfect game. I'm eating well as the new remaster just came out so I have dropped about 50 hours into it

Total War: Warhammer 3 - It is just my fall back for years at this point. I just checked and I have 1155 hours in it to date. I don't know why, there are just so many different options, I love turn based games in general, but then you also get RTS style combat. It just always scratches the right itch.

I would also settle for smarter timing on lights. The city I used to live in would automatically have longer left turn advance green lights during rush hour and change to unlimited green lights past 11pm I believe. Basically, the light would stay green until someone pulled up at the cross street and stayed there. You would see the walk sign start counting down and eventually the lights would change. However, if the person turned right then the countdown would stop and the walk sign would go back to saying okay to walk.

It must be expensive, because my new city has replaced lights and not put the same thing in.

Let me introduce you to the Big Apple in the thriving metropolis of Colborne, ON. Thankfully wikipedia still has a picture of the way it looked when I was young as some crazy person decided to draw a face on it. You can go to their website if you want to see what that looks like, but it's nightmare fuel.

Man this and getting hit randomly when you're charging an ATB attack drove me crazy.

Enemies can sometimes just walk away while you're preparing to do a special move and you'll just whiff instead of tracking them.

If you're saying this is your first time playing Chrono Trigger, then please finish it. It's not that long of a game and the story goes to interesting places.
