But we already had a deal, that Trump was already ignoring. So there is no reason to think he would have honoured this new deal or not pulled the small bullshit. As always, I feel the worst for the people this actually impacts, like all of our auto workers.

I switched back to Tildes to finish reading the post, then switched back to Libby and it suddenly refreshed itself and showed me a message telling me about all my partner libraries. So maybe check again or try reinstalling the app?

Comment on Head of Norway's sovereign wealth fund warns that soaring AI-driven stock valuations could trigger a sharp correction in ~finance
Wafik Link ParentI guess? Seems to equally be a ton of people in those places involved in mass AI psychosis. Between Trump making crime totally acceptable and anyone who is supposed to be reporting on AI either...This is a popular refrain on Youtube and Reddit, but obviously a lot of people disagree.
I guess? Seems to equally be a ton of people in those places involved in mass AI psychosis.
Between Trump making crime totally acceptable and anyone who is supposed to be reporting on AI either complicit or clearly dropping the ball, I don't get how anyone paying even a basic level of attention can think these companies, especially OpenAI and Anthropic are not brittle as hell. Compute is not getting cheaper, it's still terrible for the environment, there is nowhere near enough demand to justify the insane spending which is why everyone has resorted to circle financing, never a good sign. Why don't big companies like Google and Microsoft tout the money they are making from AI? Why is Google and Amazon raising debt to burn it on AI? Why does every company suddenly want to talk in "run rates" instead of actual revenue?
It's a little reductive to say something is a popular theory on YouTube or Reddit. I'm not on YouTube or Reddit and yet I can understand numbers. Apparently everyone else has forgotten how?

Wafik LinkPardon? That brittleness is everywhere. Of course fund managers don't want to take profit and miss out or sell too early. It's the definition of trying to time the market. But this professor is..."Few managers are inclined to take profits when such a fundamental technology buildout, fueled by literally unprecedented levels of capital spending, shows little evidence of brittleness," Megginson, a finance professor at the University of Oklahoma, told DW

It checks a lot of the right boxes for me and I'm honestly annoyed I didn't try it sooner although that at least gives me an insane amount of content and DLC to consume.
Turned based, fantasy, endless possibilities for faction crafting, endless possibilities for map creation. An early game that is most similar to Disciples 2, a game I also dropped a ton of hours into over the years.
This game is the perfect baby of Might & Magic, Disciples 2 and a bit of Civ. Better combat than Civ but more simplistic than Total War.
So many other games to play yet all I play now is AOW4. If anyone here plays it and wants to further suck me in with some coop, let me know!

Wafik LinkAlways fun to watch. You can only hope that he goes on to a long and successful career. Hitting a home run on your very first pitch in the majors is wild. It helped remind me why I continue to boycott America even if my work insists on sending me there. I guess I just hope I'm not there when the collapse accelerates further.

@kari has it right. Any updated deal that gives concessions to Trump is just a loss when there is no reason to believe he will abide by any concessions given to Canada. But relief for industries like auto or steel would be welcome. Hence, mixed feelings.
