I am also concerned that it will stop working when that change occurs although if I already have it downloaded I hope that doesn't matter.

    Not a scientist so my random guesses would be: wearing masks and social distancing also work great against colds, so a lot of strains probably died off during COVID as a bonus. you kind of already...

    • you kind of already talked about this, but a change of habits. Holding your breath around people, but more likely smaller changes you're not aware of. Staying further away from people or washing your hands more/better.

    Agreed. I understand why they are doing this but it won't cause me to purchase a PlayStation. I'm glad I got to enjoy Returnal at least. Fantastic game that I would have never been able to enjoy...

Fantastic game that I would have never been able to enjoy as I don't plan to buy a PS5. Time wins out. I'll be surprised if Sony isn't back to putting out games on PC in 5 years.

A convicted felon pedophile threatened the sovereignty of my country and it's a fucking joke? I have a friend who died and know other Canadians who died alongside Americans because they were attacked and we were there to support our ally and that's a fucking joke? America can get fucked. They have destroyed their relationship with Canada. I will never give that shit hole country another cent of my money as long as I can manage. I could be over the border in less than an hour and it will be too soon if I ever have to go there again.

    I can only speak for North America, but it is definitely happening here for publicly traded companies or companies owned by private equity. Every quarter is about making their stock price go up or stripping as much value from a struggling brand as possible while keeping your employees poor so you can also benefit from government assistance (SNAP, etc).

    As Vegas is basically the extreme version of everything else, I think this is the epitome of the short term nature of late stage capitalism. Catering only to the super rich is also what most successful retail is currently doing. It props up their numbers and business but tastes change and that 10% will abandon your business fast. So yes, it works this quarter, but I can't imagine it will be a successful approach for most brands unless they can actually make the pivot to "luxury brand". Same for Vegas. Will the 10% keep going to Vegas or get bored and look somewhere else? And as always, the employees will be the ones getting laid off when it inevitably fails.
