This game is amazing. Easily my favourite Remedy game and one of my favourites of all time. $4.99 is almost criminal. I definitely still recommend playing it with a controller.

While I would have never called myself an incel, I definitely shared similar thoughts and ideas when I was a lonely teen and into my early 20s. I cringe at the thought of how often I thought to myself "If I was a woman I would just be going around and getting laid like crazy". I definitely used to think women could just go out and get laid anytime they wanted. I had zero concept that this would likely be terrible sex for any women doing this.

I think a lot of it comes from ignorance and low/no confidence. I would only really have success with conventionally less attractive women (not that I would consider myself conventionally attractive), because I didn't put pressure on myself and could be myself. But then I wasn't really attracted to these women and made no real effort to get to know them, so at best it would be a couple dates and/or sexual encounters. On the other side I was terrified to speak to women I found attractive. It was a vicious cycle in my sad little world that I didn't really pull myself out of until my late 20s or early 30s.

The Procession to Calvary is a fun, short little point and click. The art style is Mighty Python inspired but don't expect it to be as clever. You don't need to, but you would be better served if you play Four Last Things first. This game is less good and shorter, but it's more of Four Last Things, which I adore.

The rest of this bundle is underwhelming and will be another skip for me.

How did you get them to ask it all in a single breathe? Is it just the nature of your work? Most of the time I get "Hey" and then have to wait 5 minutes for the rest of their message asking for help.

I would be much more interested in a Voyager TV show in which the Maqui crew was replaced by a crew of Klingons.

That would have been cool, but also any Star Trek race would have been more interesting than the Maqui. It ended up being little more than an excuse for them to be in the badlands and was almost immediately forgotten and unimportant. The Maqui were a boring rebel faction nonsense. Klingons would have been much more interesting, but you could argue that weakens Torres as a character, so give me literally any other race. Romulans would have probably been the best choice and the least explored at that time.

I guess technically any disease movie could fit OPs prompt but Contagion is definitely the best one I have watched. Another option would be Outbreak. Less good but still fits.

given the personalities of some of the people I observe being on this website alot, I doubt it will be the last time.

I am tolerating AI at work. Specifically Gemini AI slop. I work on the retail side of a tech company in sales, so of course we are using AI like good little worker bees.

My direct boss is in her 50s and pretty tech illiterate. She clearly uses Gemini for all of her slack posts. Every post has something wrong with it. I used to correct her posts. Now I just can't be bothered because she clearly can either. Someone made the mistake of showing her that you can make and save Gems in Gemini and now she has like a million. Her new favourite thing is using a Gem to audit salesforce pipelines, which is such a pain in the ass, because of course Gemini is terrible at it. It comes up with insane CTAs and mentions leads that my store doesn't own or are from years ago. And it only gives customers names. Not emails, not links, no easy way to find them. So I have to go hunting leads by name. Usually busy work.

The person in charge of training is in charge of it for all of retail. So the new hell they came up with this year is AI generated podcasts that have to be done weekly. Sometimes the content is useful, but as a training tool it's almost completely useless. I think they figured that out and now they just require managers to take them, even though they are geared towards our sales people. Have you ever tried to train someone to be better at their job or do something different using a fucking podcast? Even when the fake hosts make a good point, it's in audio form. I don't have a transcript. I don't have a good way for my visual learners to get anything out of it. And because they are relentless and come out every single week, I don't really have the time to focus on anything or coach on it after my team tries it out. So now I pencil whip the episode and move on. Again, waste of everyone's time.

Fucking AI man. I hated it already for being trained by stealing my wife's books. I didn't realize I would also be forced to suffer the laziest implementation of it ever at my work as well.

Yeah, well said. I also wish Star Trek would go back on the shelf until someone has a good idea for something new.

I want Star Trek to get back to the utopian society idea. I get that it doesn't always make for strong stories, but I don't care. Throw out everything after Voyager and the Dominion War. Give me hopeful Star Trek where the utopia pushes back against Section 31 and helps the Cardasians or Romulans rebuild. I get enough of our institutions failing us in real life, I don't also need that in Trek.

I'm sure what you mention is part of it to some degree for sure. I had never thought about that, but it makes total sense. It does make me worried. Most of the shows I love were given time to develop and improve and it just seems like no show is given that today regardless of intention.

I also agree that if the second season is already shot, just release it. Cancelling it before doing so guarantees failure. I assume a lot less people will show up to watch when they know it has been cancelled.

    This isn't my Trek!

But also, I never watched Academy, so I have no thoughts. My good will was destroyed with Discovery and Picard. I'm not fighting with people online about Trek, but Discovery, Picard and Section 31 are "not my Trek". They keep pumping this garbage (in my opinion) out so I assume there must be some people out there who like it.

Ending a show after two seasons, well really after one, is kind of everything wrong with modern TV. I love TNG, but the first season was pretty mid. In today's world that show gets cancelled too. A show needing to be a hit in the first season with only 8-10 episodes almost guarantees failure and is not in Star Trek's favour in my opinion.

Maybe it depends on the use case, but I upgraded to 11 when they ended support for 10. I uninstalled copilot, haven't seen a single ad and have had no issues with Windows 11. But I use my computer for gaming and web browsing so maybe it's a bigger problem for other work flows. I was worried going into it but it's been a non issue for me at least.
