Have you considered that you are bad when it comes to communication around sex? By your own admission you came to recently. Just because you communicate doesn't mean you're good at communicating what you like or understanding what someone else likes.

For me, half the fun of a new partner is figuring out what they like and don't like. The most important quality for good sex is communication. The best sex of my life is with my wife, who only had one, brief sexual partner before me. We have chemistry and we communicate. I don't know how skilled I was, but I think it's overrated. If you're not enjoying what you're doing with sex, tell your partner and change it up. Also helps to figure out what they like. Broken rhythm in my experience is usually poor communication.

Another thing is I last a really long time, like minimum an hour. The first girl was able to keep up with me even as the sessions went on for over two hours. A lot of other women I’ve been with are done by the 20 minute mark. Which to me is just like getting started.

Goes back to communication. If you know you need to have sex for an hour to two hours to enjoy it, then you need to communicate that to your partner. There are ways to make that work even with people who are faster.

The Elon Musk and SpaceX bullshit aside, this is a good example of why IPOs in general are a bad investment. CEOs and companies go on a "road show" to try and make their company as pretty as possible to do a big initial raise of capital. Then, once cooler heads prevail the real valuation settles in. It's why respectable institutions let new stocks "season" before adding them to their indices and even then most IPOs are a bad investment compared to the broader market for their first couple of years.

The outlier here is the bullshit Elon managed to pull off with investors. Maybe he gets the gullible to juice his stock and it does better than most IPOs. Too bad AI companies only exist to set giant heaps of cash on fire. Regardless, another good example of why this is just gambling, though it seems like most of America is gambling these days, so I guess it's to be expected.

My 11th most played game according to Steam play time is Battlefield Bad Company 2. And yeah, that kind of works. I really enjoyed it back in the day but it definitely wouldn't be in my top 10. But also it probably wouldn't be that close to my top 10 either.

My game that I have played the 12th most, but will almost certainly pass BF:BC2, is Warhammer 40000: Gladius - Relics of War. It's a lazy 4X that hits the 40k spot for me. I enjoy it and it's a comfort game for me. If I can't decide what to play, then I'll spin up another Necron run. It's not in my top 10, but I guess it's kind of close.

Unrelated but my 10th spot is the original CoD:MW2, which also would not be in my actual top 10, but I only mention it because Steam apparently thinks I last played it January 1st, 1970.

People can pretend they’re now doing something really important and groundbreaking while using the tool for completely mundane and worthless tasks that are better handled differently.

My boss seems to have stopped using Gemini for anything but her weekly slack posts, which are blatant slop and often have errors. I used to correct the mistakes, now I just ignore her posts. If she can't be bothered to proof read, then I can't be bothered to read them. Yet she still cranks out absolute garbage, amateurish spreadsheets when that is something Gemini is really good at doing now. It's so sad.

The obvious example to me is Star Citizen. It technically hasn't been abandoned, but it has been in development for so long with so little to show with various early access versions, etc, that I think it fits.

I backed the Kickstarter in apparently 2012? I mean, I guess that's the joke. I knew it was a long time ago, but 14 years ago with still no end in sight and they are selling $6000 ships? I was really excited to play the game 14 years ago but now I just usually forget about it. Hilariously you can go back and look at the Kickstarter where they estimated the game would be finished in two years, November 2014. I think I remember joining a clan and being hyped. Who knows. I'm not even sure how I would claim my Kickstarter version of the game now. Has it already happened? Do I need to wait until the game actually comes out? I don't even really care at this point. My interests and time are not the same as they were 14 years ago.

I need to explore side paths. NEED to. I will often find myself crippled trying to decide which way is the dead end and will often turn around if it doesn't seem like I picked the right way. I waste a lot of time needlessly back tracking but I have also restarted or quit games if I end up locked out of going back to a section. It's silly and it's a problem.

You're probably not getting that with the current versions, but you are getting a great warranty and customer service. If you're in the US it's not a big deal to work with them. If you're more international then I would definitely stick with your plan of a last resort.
