I mentioned in another thread that while Jusant is more linear than I was hoping, the environment itself is well worth exploring. South of the Circle's story gripped me, and I enjoyed the way they explored the story. Lovely art style too!

It was a bit more linear than I was expecting, but I really enjoyed exploring the world they had built. I don't often strive for 100% completing games, but I'm pretty close so I might dive back in and find the last few collectables I missed.

I always enjoyed diving into a level for the first time and sleuthing my way around the place without a minimap or the see-thru-walls-and-highlight-targets ability. The NPCs and level design do a decent job at conveying where you can and cannot be with your current disguise.

Some of the services I'm running:
- tar1090 local map, the same ADSBx uses
- graphs1090 stats for the decoder + Pi
- planefence/planealert flight history + interesting flights
- feeders via SDR Enthusiasts for FR24, FlightAware, etc.
I printed a small enclosure to hang on the wall, and have since plopped in a 4 digit LCD that displays the number of aircraft overhead.
SDR Enthusiasts' GitBook is a good resource for setting much of this up.

Comment on Minecraft Wiki strongly considering moving away from Fandom in ~games
zackboe They actually haven't been Official for a few years (October 6, 2021) now. While unlikely, it would be pretty funny if a move away from Fandom leads to them being granted Official status once again. In the meantime, another vote for Indie Wiki Buddy.

It sounded like they had been commanding this one particular sub for awhile, progressing through years of WW2. I was vaguely aware sub simulators were out there, but all I had seen was surface level missions without much real depth to them. It looks like there remains a decent modding community around it and the flexible complexity sounds like it's not super difficult to get acquainted with, so I might pick this up before the Steam sale ends.

Comment on Linux distro of choice? in ~comp
zackboe Some Chromebooks have support for Android apps, and others are slowly gaining access to run a Linux VM more tightly coupled with the OS as opposed to the previous methods. I've been playing Slice & Dice for years and I'm so thrilled by the new update. It's ironed out a few things and upped the polish. The sheer amount of possibilities between runs and modes is amazing. Combined with the (mode dependent) quick runs and incredibly frequent autosaves, this has been just about my only mobile game for awhile. I'm glad my iOS friends can finally enjoy it :)
