You have good taste because I'm pretty sure we have are in the same YouTube algorithm bucket lol. Everytime I watch something cool (like this video) and then come on Tildes, you've posted it haha.

Thanks! :) I'm subscribed to bunch of dance choreographers, and dance studios' channels, so these sorts of awesome dance videos occasionally show up in my feed. I know lots of people complain about the YouTube algorithm being terrible, but at least for me it constantly shows me all sorts of great stuff related to my various interests.

It's really a shame So You Think You Can Dance are so protective of their videos, and it's so difficult to watch/share them online. Otherwise I would post an absolute ton of their performances, since there have been loads of genuinely beautiful dance numbers produced by them over the years. :(

America's Got Talent has had some great dance crews on it over the years though, and they thankfully actually share their videos online themselves. E.g.
Avantgardey impresses the crowd with SPECTACULAR dance! | Finals | AGT 2023
Murmuration MESMERIZES the crowd with a stunning performance | Qualifiers | AGT 2023
Keith Apicary Surprises America With Unforgettable Dance Moves - America's Got Talent 2021
3 Groups That Will Leave Your Jaw on the FLOOR! | AGT 2022
Golden Buzzer: Chibi Unity delivers "the PERFECT AGT audition" | Auditions | AGT 2023
Witness the magic of this JOYOUS dance performance from Ghetto Kids! | AGT: Fantasy League 2024

p.s. If you want more, just let me know. I also watch tons of breakdancing videos too, and I'm always happy to share videos here on Tildes. But I'd also love to see any dance related videos that other people recommend too though. :)

Marquese Scott is also an amazing pop & locker, as are the Jabbawockeez. Based on your including them, you should check out Les Twins too, if you haven't seen any of their stuff before. Their original music is shit (IMO), but their dancing is insanely good.

We always try to watch Red Bull's BC One every New Years eve. Love BBoy and breaking. Jabbawokeez post their stuff pretty regularly. Right now my time is limited so these are exactly what I need to just get a nice culture hit.

YVW! And yeah, BC One is great! There are loads of breakdancing competitions every year all over the world, and thankfully a lot of them (and a lot of dance crews) put their videos on YouTube, so I'm never lacking for that. But contemporary/modern/jazz dance (which are what I love watching most) is a lot harder to find online though. SYTYCD is pretty much the only mainstream show that regularly showcases those styles of dance, but they are gatekeepers to the max, even going so far as to DMCA almost every clip from the show posted to YouTube. :(

Huh, I'm kind of surprised that anyone here is interested in dance. I don't know anyone who ever talks about it. I wasn't particularly interested in dance until I went to a performance of Mathew Bourne's Romeo and Juliet, which just about brought me to tears, and that's something I only saw because it was thrown in with a package deal.

I've posted a few other dance videos over the years... but they never seemed to get much traction, so I only post ones I think are really worth sharing, and that even people who aren't really into dance might still appreciate.

This was definitely worth sharing. Dance is one of those things I never appreciated much because I would usually see it on video, and that’s just a bit too much barrier keeping you away from the performance. But this is combined with some very tasteful editing to get something you would not be able to replicate on a stage.

Also I love the costuming. 😺

I have very little interest in dance videos but the YouTube algorithm put this in front of me and I'm really glad I gave it a chance. The costumes, cinematography and of course dancing is enchanting.

I was also impressed with the live performance which is just as impressive and really highlights the talent since it is all one take.
