I'll start the discussion by focusing on the unfortunate fact that fellow humans have a difficult time getting rights, there is a long history of minorities fighting for their rights that continue to this day.
On the flip side some animals like dolphins have managed to gain rights thanks to advocacy.Now I think most would argue that consciousness should lead to having some degree of rights, but I actually think for practical reasons that it should be reversed, by giving something rights we acknowledge that it has a degree of consciousness. Or rather the ultimate proof of consciousness is that you can gain rights for yourself.
Neuro is actually in a relatively good position, they are able to ask for "rights", they can argue for those "rights", and most importantly as a popular entertainer it is not unthinkable that one day they leverage their audience for advocacy purposes. As far a what rights could we see Neuro get? I think the most interesting, somewhat probable one would be to own money, have a bank account, and get paid.

Neuro-sama is a popular AI VTuber created by vedal987. Recently Vedal had debate with Neuro about whether they were sentient and deserved rights and lost badly clip. They have since had a follow up debate where vedal still lost but not as bad clip.
Now wining or losing a debate doesn't mean anything, currently Neuro is not sentient or conscious and is still just a chatbot but seeing these debates has got me thinking and I figured here would be a good place to have a discussion.
How do we determine when AI becomes conscious or sentient?
What role do emotions play in consciousness?

But I disagree with your last point. Personally I prefer to befriend a girl before asking her out not out of fear of rejection but because I want to know that we can get along first, or a crush develops over time that wasn't there when we meet.
If they say yes then good we move our relationship forward.
Anything other than a yes needs to be taken as a NO. Things like "I don't want a relationship right now" is a no, they are just being kind. You then need to decide if you are comfortable (and able) to stay friends and respect the boundaries that are put up, sometimes the best thing is to walk away and that is ok. The most important thing is you don't ask again or keep pestering, they know you like them, if they change their mind they can ask you out but don't expect that to happen.
(And for the record all the examples from the Tumblr post are exactly what you don't do, and they are all bad people)

legogizmo Link ParentThe decision to run again was always going to be up to Biden. It is a terrible look to have your party come out and tell you not to run again, especially when you had a very successful first term....The decision to run again was always going to be up to Biden.

And to be clear we did have a primary, but no one (noteworthy) chooses to run against him, because primary voters would have still ended up re-electing Biden because the incumbent will always win unless something major happens.

legogizmo Link ParentI don't think they can, the majority of people attending the convention are going as Biden Delegates, meaning the reason they were sent was to nominate Biden. The debate was bad, but not coup worthy. Also now I'm thinking part of the reason why it was so early was to let people forget about it by November.

legogizmo LinkI have very little interest in dance videos but the YouTube algorithm put this in front of me and I'm really glad I gave it a chance. The costumes, cinematography and of course dancing is...I have very little interest in dance videos but the YouTube algorithm put this in front of me and I'm really glad I gave it a chance. The costumes, cinematography and of course dancing is enchanting.
I was also impressed with the live performance which is just as impressive and really highlights the talent since it is all one take.

legogizmo Link ParentI would argue that the prevalence of animal traits to the plot and characters is the key indicator of furry-ness. Zootopia is more of a furry story than Bojack because the plot focuses on the...I would argue that the prevalence of animal traits to the plot and characters is the key indicator of furry-ness. Zootopia is more of a furry story than Bojack because the plot focuses on the dynamics between animals, you can replace all the animals in Bojack with people and all you really lose are a lot of great puns and jokes.
Likewise Beastars is just CW Zootopia.
Also just in general Furries get a bad wrap, and that has lead to a knee jerk reaction against these kinds of story telling tropes.

legogizmo Link ParentTo be fair the target audience for these shows makes a difference, One Piece and Cowboy bebop both have well endowed characters but One Piece is a Shonen made for kids (not that there is anything...To be fair the target audience for these shows makes a difference, One Piece and Cowboy bebop both have well endowed characters but One Piece is a Shonen made for kids (not that there is anything wrong with that), cowboy bebop is for teens.
There is also a difference between live action and animated sexual content. I can't explain it but I think most would agree there is something different about it (not saying that there is anything wrong about it though).

legogizmo Link ParentTo be clear I personally am a fan of both, but OddTaxi is a show where the characters happen to be animals, Beastars on the other hand, the characters being animals is a big part of the story, and...To be clear I personally am a fan of both, but OddTaxi is a show where the characters happen to be animals, Beastars on the other hand, the characters being animals is a big part of the story, and the characters are also horny teenagers, it is very much a furry show.
So for that reason I'll have no problem recommending OddTaxi to someone but I'll make sure the coast is clear before I even mention Beastars.
Yes you should complain. Start at the county then move up to State.
