I've been continuing to work on my tiny cozy game where you grow plants to clean air :)
If anyone wants to try it out, I'm always happy to receive feedback!
Here's the link to the current playtest demo (currently playable on web browser on desktop/mobile, though better on desktop):

What a genuinely lovely game. With some nice cozy music as you're planning on adding I can just see this being the perfect de-stress game. I was going to comment that maybe the pacing was a little too fast, as it gets a bit chaotic towards the end but I see you've already made a note of that. The only thing I can suggest is perhaps adding a place to delete or cancel a plant? I kept accidentally picking up a water plant, not having anywhere to put it, so had to pause what I was doing to find some water to place them in, or else they'd get sad.
Very calming though :)
Thanks so much! I'm thinking of adding a remove plant function in the future, but for now I'll be adding a plant that attracts caterpillars - so you can place plants you want to remove around it :>
This is cute, thanks for sharing! I like the theme, especially bubbles as something to pop (tap/click).
It's a little fiddly sometimes to figure out where to place a plant so it's not overcrowded. 7 plants to form a cluster that attracts butterflies, I'm guessing this has something to do with a plant in the center surrounded by 6 plants (roughly) equidistant from neighboring plants? Maybe showing a radius around the plant you pick up could help.
Thank you! I'll see if I can figure out how to add a visible radius :D for now, plants are just highlighted when they are optimally placed / boosted
Great game! I just got in a little trouble for being anti-social leading up to Thanksgiving dinner as I spent time finishing the game! Would be so excited to try out more levels!!!!
Ahhh sorry for getting you into trouble and thank you for playing 😆
Recently I picked up a couple sets of cloth napkins. Thing is, you can use cloth napkins for more than one meal, or even several meals, before they need washing. Just refold to get a clean surface. So now we have a problem: generic napkin on the table - is that one mine? Did I sit here or there last meal, did anyone else use the table between times?
So now I'm embroidering unique designs on each napkin. I've done a star, moon, sun, feather, leaf, hearts, skull, bird, mushroom, and I'm working on a butterfly right now. I'll round it out with a bee and maybe a rainbow.... or a balloon? Too many ideas.
As a child we always used cloth napkins, and each of us had a special napkin ring into which our own napkin would be folded and rolled. My napkin ring was flattened on one side, so it wouldn't roll around, which I remember finding mildly insulting.
This is hilarious and absolutely what I'd do to my child's napkin ring.
Will you post pictures?
In a day or two; some of them are in the laundry right now!
Been doing some pretty big projects the last year so I switched to some quicker things of late - bookmarks!
Excuse the quality, it's kind of hard to take good pictures of tiny details: https://i.imgur.com/vp9R7c7.jpg
Leftmost was dreadful as it's not only full coverage, but also on smaller fabric than I'm used to. And the other are backstitched in pride colors! Probably more to come as I might ask a friend or two if they want any
These are awesome! Does the pattern of stitches inside the hearts have a name? I kinda want to try it.
The patterns by themselves don't have any particular name, but someone did design it (for free here) which is what I just follow. And if you mean the type of stitch, then it is called backstitching or blackwork 😊
These look awesome! Love the pride hearts. ❤️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Also even though you said the left one was dreadful, the result is fantastic. The colors and design are gorgeous. These would make incredible gifts.
Glad to know that my suffering at least paid off haha, thank you for the kind words 🥰
(tl;dr, because why put that at the end?) I need to start xstitching again and posting my epic awesomeness here. :)
Long story longer (anything by Dickens):
I don't really have anything to add to this, but it reminds me that I need to get back into cross stitching. I actually was only into my xstitch subreddit and had basically ignored all my other subs when the crap hit the fan with that drama. I had already burnt myself out in Feb, when I finally finished my friends' late xmas QR code stitch for her jewelry booths at comicons...
