I don't draw often. It's hard on my wrists and it takes forever to finish anything. But when I do draw, I like using this abstract figurative style that emphasizes texture. I take a lot of inspiration from Louis Wain.

Sorry for the loss. Really gorgeous work though! Reminds me of an old Youtuber I used to follow, Pavilizumab I think his name was. Similar abstract pen and ink stuff

I am building a vocabulary learning tool that creates a custom image for you, based on your life, for every word you learn. It’s super powerful and efficient for learning vocab 3x, 4x, even 5x faster. There’s nothing like a totally personalized mnemonic to make a word stick.

    https://www.vocabulary.quest/

We are doing user interviews right now, so if you (or your kids) are motivated to learn more vocab, I’d love to give you a 4 month free account if you’ll do a zoom call with me for a demo!

I'm working on a proposal for a mini-doc I want to produce. It'd be my first time stepping out of the advertising world and back into film since college. It has been a pretty fun process to research funding and distribution and all that stuff, because in advertising it's much more "we have $x, please make anything" vs. "here's the idea, what do we need to execute it?"

Even if it doesn't happen, the whole process of developing the treatment and proposal has been great practice and very fulfilling. Advertising just drains your soul.

I finished a knitted cardigan and matching beanie just in time for it to be warm. I also have enough yarn to make matching fingerless gloves which I'm going to make at some point (probably starting this evening), and some matching hats for my bonus nieces in the same fancy yarn.
