Anyone else here into yarn craft?
I crochet, my metamour knits and crochets, and I'm going to be learning some embroidery soon for a project.

I just started knitting. I'm doing a cowl scarf for my girlfriend. I used to crochet all the time, but I fell out of it. My girlfriend actually spins yarn.
Btw, I love the casual use of the word "metamour" in a thread that's not about alternative relationships.
I'm curious about spinning yarn but I know I don't have time for it. I'll settle for supporting the people who do!

Yeah. She needs something to do with her hands a lot of the time. She uses hand spindles most of the time (I made a couple for her), but she has a couple spinning wheels as well.
This is the cowl I'm making, although I'm making it a lot longer. That pattern specifies five repeats of the main pattern. I'm doing 12 so she can loop it twice if she wants.
Oh wow, that looks really cozy. And that's really cool that you made her tools for spinning!
I took up embroidery at the beginning of this year, although my current projects are on hold. I got a little frustrated with french knots and had to take a break, haha. I've got a lot of project ideas, but my current ones are a phylogenetic tree of life to put on my graduation cap and a fractal made with the aforementioned french knots (which may yet kill me).
I used to knit, and I wish I still did. It was just a bit too mentally/physically taxing for me. Embroidery is much easier for me to put down as soon as I feel myself getting tired, and if I don't do it for a week I won't have lost my place.
What sorts of projects do you crochet, @Teskeria? :)
I really love making shawls. Haven't yet been able to invest in enough yarn to start exploring the world of wearables, but I have some really cute patterns stored up for when I can!
Currently I'm working on making a shawl inspired by the Aes Sedai of the Wheel of Time book series for a friend.
Your WIPs sound very interesting (and complicated!). I wish you good luck with them!
Oh gosh, yeah, it's definitely an investment for larger pieces (both the money for yarn, and the time!). Most of my knitting projects were small, like a bag or wrist-warmers. A friend of mine did a huge blanket recently, and I was super impressed.
That shawl sounds really cool! I hope you share it here when you're done. (But no pressure, obviously!)
Oh, once I'm done there will be so many pictures. I'm really happy with how it's been turning out so far; the Flame graphghan is going very nicely. 90 rows in though and it's less than half as deep as it needs to be, lol. It's going to be a while.
I once got the scale wrong and ended up with a two foot Jack Skellington. XD Right now it's superheroes based off this. I really like the proportions of this pattern.
How cute!! Although I have to say a 2' tall Jack Skellington wouldn't be inappropriate, lol.
I learned how to crochet once! I made a giant blanket and one amigurumi octopus and then I stopped. :-( I'm always so impressed by you guys, though!

I sing a little, but that's it. I'm not a maker. But i'm a really good consumer! :-)

I love singing! Thankfully for other people, it's mostly in the shower. XD Mad props for the skill!
I crochet and knit! I honestly haven't done much with either this year because of work and me being a laze. But usually with crocheting, I basically exclusively do amigurumi type stuff and have been trying to design my own patterns. Otherwise I don't use crocheting for much else, besides making blankets. For me it's way easier to make blankets crocheting than knitting (and far, far less frustrating if I mess up which is inevitable). I've mostly made hats and scarves with knitting though I do like making little knit amigurumi too, and I made my SO a pair of gloves which was fun and infuriating. I would like to do both more often and really work on my technique.
Oh, awesome! Designing your own patterns sounds really challenging.
I made my mail carrier a scarf with Tunisian crochet for Christmas last year, and I want to make him matching gloves this year, so soon I will know the pain of making gloves, lol.
I knit, but only in the winter time. The thought of handling wool right now is terrifying because it's gazillion degrees outside. I'm hoping to do some fun new projects this winter - I got stuck on a jumper I don't even like last winter so I didn't get much done.
Oh, ugh, the worst. I hate getting stuck on a tedious project but I still feel obligated to finish.
Have you ever tried using a super lightweight yarn for a summertime project? I have some 4ply fingering weight that I'm about to use for a nice open shawl.
I did, but it's honestly just way too hot! But I love knitting during winter anyway - when it's cold outside and/or the weather is bad, I am cosy inside, watching TV and knitting.

Currently I am playing with amigurumi designs because they're small enough to do a little bit at any time. Like @Trin, it's way too hot here to even think about jumpers or afghans. ;_;
I do amigurumi too! (though I often call it "crocheted stuffed animals" because I cannot pronounce that word out loud!)
However, I am the slowest because my interest in crocheting waxes and wanes since I'm not good enough at it to not need to totally focus currently, and it feels too slow when you can't really watch tv or audiobook or anything simultaneously. I know it's just growing pains for a new skill, but aughhh.
Awww! What kind of critters/people do you make? I've been looking at amigurumi for a little bit and wondering if I would enjoy making them. I know I enjoy seeing the ones that others make!
I knit, crochet and spin. I'm in the middle of a pair of socks by Caoua Coffee on Ravelry, and just started a pair of socks with Dr Who scarf yarn I was gifted. I have a pair of lined mittens on the backburner, and might start a hat as a gift sometime soon.

It depends on the piece! Some of them you can cut out a lining fabric and sew in, but the mitts I'm looking at you knit the lining right in.
The pattern i have bookmarked on Ravelry is the "Ibex Valley Mittens" by little Church knits.
I knit and crochet.. moved more into crochet because it feels so much faster. I recently finished a big, chunky, lap blanket in blue and brown. It was awesome that by halfway through making it it was useful for its intended purpose!
That is awesome! And I know what you mean... knitting just hasn't 'clicked' for me the way that crocheting did.
I got into weaving just under a year ago! I have been enjoying it a lot but get frustrated with not being able to spend as much time on it as a like. Small tapestries at this point, but I did take class on rigid heddle loom recently that I enjoyed.
