I made Gyoza for the first time, I did buy the wrappers because I didn't want the folding to be a pain point, and I'm definitely making more in the future, it's easy, and produces a lot of meals for cheap, the only drawback is the amount of time folding the gyozas, but this could be a very nice family task.

The recipe I followed was basically this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoTqzjg83u8

Gyoza are excellent! I made about 70 of them a few days ago; I mostly make them using feeling these days, loosely taking ideas from Kenji's recipe and this JOC recipe. They freeze really well...

Gyoza are excellent! I made about 70 of them a few days ago; I mostly make them using feeling these days, loosely taking ideas from Kenji's recipe and this JOC recipe. They freeze really well (lasting maybe 2 months in the freezer) so they're excellent for lunches and to give out to friends. I normally have them with a dipping sauce and some pickled red ginger, maybe miso soup if I can be bothered.

Definitely, I had some requests, I will be sharing some as soon as I start making them prettier. For the sauce I went with 50/50 soy sauce, rice vinegar and added some crispy chili oil, super easy...

Once it hits December I’ll feel the season is finally here to make Hoppin John. Of course I could make it any time, but it only feels right to me in December and January.

I am from the north and have never heard of "Hoppin John" so I looked it up and now I've saved a recipe for this weekend and am excited to try it. Thanks! We had our first snowstorm of the year...

We had our first snowstorm of the year yesterday, so naturally I made chili.

My parents would always make it as a good luck dish for the new year, but it’s so good that we’d usually have it a lot around this time of year. It freezes and reheats great too!

Technically nothing different from usual, but I have made a change that I am enjoying immensely. I’m prepping veggies ahead of time so when it’s time to eat I am already halfway done. Advice to do...
