    Cool article, I think it's a perfect example of a social evolution in which things that a priori may not be great for us carry a higher status and we evolve to make them OK for us. Another example in nature is female hyenas and their pseudo-penises. The larger they are, the more they hurt, but also larger penises symbolize higher social status (don't ask me why), so they have them! (So far I don't know that they are good or even OK for them though)

    One thing I've always wondered in regards to cheese is... what went through the head of the first human to eat it? Like "oh here's some disgusting curdled milk that I forgot in this clay pot, let's try it!"? Or maybe it was more of a famine situation in which they ate some shitty looking curdled milk?
