    I follow a few Japanese YouTubers and also foreigners living in Japan. A lot of what I read in this article seems to be regular procedure for traditional Japanese companies.

    While this knowledge is new to me, it's not surprising. Nintendo has fairly steadily demonstrated that it is very traditional company, even with regards to fan and player communities. It makes sense that the mindset would translate to internal behavior at the company as well.
