I am very excited for this game, as playing Oblivion naturally is a very trying exercise between Nostalgia glasses, poor optimization for modern PC's due to the nature of PC gaming when it was released, and the Mod it Till it Breaks mentality.
Oblivion was my first TES game and holds a special place in my heart, but every time I try to replay it I remember how much of the game has not aged as well over the years as I think it has. The biggest thing being that the game just starts to feel the same everywhere you go and the world doesnt feel lived in, as much as staffed with NPC's like a renfest.
I have the same problem. For as varied as Morrowind and Skyrim are in their environments, for whatever reason Oblivion is just sorta boreal forest everywhere you go. Not sure if Skyblivion will...
I have the same problem. For as varied as Morrowind and Skyrim are in their environments, for whatever reason Oblivion is just sorta boreal forest everywhere you go. Not sure if Skyblivion will address that, but at least it'll make it playable on modern hardware. I swear I've never been able to get Oblivion running for more than an hour without crashing!
I think this probably has to be one of the most ambitious mods to date. Feels like we've been talking about it for over a decade now and release is finally within reach

Oblivion was also my first Elder Scrolls game and I just poured hours into it. I hope they manage to get acrobatics right, and I honestly hope they keep the paintbrush bug lol.
I might look into helping out, though I think the only thing I'm qualified for is nav meshes.

I've been following this for some time and I'm excited for it. I haven't take invested in the too many videos or diaries about it so I'm just kind of getting some of the feature updates and whatnot. That being said, I think I'm really just craving that nostalgia burst while hoping that it's a new rewarding experience.

I'm excited for my children's children to play this when it comes out!

The menus alone are what keep me from replaying Oblivion. Although the repetitiveness is up there, too.
I hope this mod delivers!
