I just played a full 30-minute run on the inlaid library map. Steam deck was solid 60 fps all the way to the end. The new engine definitely scales a lot better.

The comparison video they shared of Steam Deck performance in the new and old engine looks great!

New engine? Actually, it was originally made in Phaser, a Javascript-based HTML5 engine, and the new one is done in Unity.

New engine? Did they move away from Godot, or just rewrite their Godot engine?

Did you confuse Vampire Survivors for Brotato? Brotato was made in Godot. If you didn't previously know about it, you're welcome.
