Anyone into light gun games? I’ve got one of those Sinden light buns but I hardly ever use it and I really should now that I’ve got a good gaming desktop.

I really enjoy light gun games - and I've got two of the Sindens from the original Kickstarter. I can recommend the obvious Time Crisis and House of the Dead (Pretty much all of those franchises)...

I can recommend the obvious Time Crisis and House of the Dead (Pretty much all of those franchises) but I also enjoy Ghost Squad (I played the Wii version a ton) and the Gun blade/ LA Machine Guns games.

Of course, I love the more classic Area 51 games and the Big Buck Hunter games are fun, if campy and not deep or replayable outside of a night of drinking.

I enjoy them, but haven't played one in some time. Area 51 was something I used to play a lot when I was much younger anytime I found it in an arcade. I'm currently trying to figure out a setup to play Resident Evil: Survivor, it will involve either heavy emulation or getting a copy other than the NA one which has the lightgun support mystifyingly disabled (I've read it was a reaction to Columbine which happened the previous year to release, but who knows).

My favourite light gun game is a little on the obscure side. It's Battle Clash on the SNES. It's a really fun strategic light gun game where you're in a mech, fighting other mechs in first person....

It's a really fun strategic light gun game where you're in a mech, fighting other mechs in first person. You're the gunner, and there's a pilot taking care of movement. It has a cool story as well. It's essentially a series of boss fights where each mech has a unique way of working, and method for being taken down. It got a sequel as well, Metal Combat Falcons Revenge.

There are a bunch of score and speedrun communities for light gun games if you have a particular game you enjoy. I'm on the discord for Time Crisis speedruns, and it tends to be quiet but...
