This is a well timed post, I just finished the Farewell chapter in Celeste tonight! I'll have to check this out!

Honestly, it might be my proudest gaming achievement. I'm a fan of precision platformers and have definitely played games like Super Meat Boy before (though I'm not a god at kaizo or anything), but Farewell was such a huge spike in difficulty, especially when they introduce wave dashing and super wall jumps.

    Also:

Relive the magic of Celeste Mountain alongside Madeline in this small, heartfelt 3D platformer. Created in a week(ish) by the Celeste team to celebrate the game’s sixth anniversary 🍓✨

    Also:

The source code to the project is available on Github 💾

Edit to talk about the actual game, I love that they have a little line that tells you where you are relative to the ground, maybe I'm getting old/3d platformers were never my thing but it helps a LOT

Okay, I just finished playing. This game is honestly great, especially for being made in a week. The controls feel good, while still emulating an N64 era platformer (like having to fight the camera a bit, ha). The movement is super fun and it was nice to talk to some characters and get some new lore! I could honestly play a full game of this, or at least a couple more levels (might get stale if there were like 8 more levels since the gameplay is pretty basic, even if it's good). If you're trying to collect all the strawberries (there are 30 in total), I found this guide to help if you're stuck: https://itch.io/t/3471535/guide-spoilers-strawberrys-little-secrets

Overall a very cute game and a great way to spend 90ish minutes!

This will be a new favorite diversion. I assume because of the week they took it's pretty small? I never stopped to think how Celeste in 3D would be, but this is pretty much it.

Yeah, it's one main level (with a bunch of platforming challenges in it) with 10 sub-levels (the cassettes). It's a good 90 minute game!
