    I fucking love Monster Train so much I actually own it on PC, Switch, and iPadOS... so this is awesome news! I am a tad disappointed that MT2 looks almost identical to the original, but hopefully...

    I fucking love Monster Train so much I actually own it on PC, Switch, and iPadOS... so this is awesome news! I am a tad disappointed that MT2 looks almost identical to the original, but hopefully they add enough new mechanics and cards to make it feel fresh, and keep the gameplay interesting.

      I never got around to playing the demo for MT2, but it did look very similar to me as well. Though that can also be a good thing when it comes to game sequels (first one was so good, why change up...

      I hope StS2 takes a bit longer and releases later in the year so I can properly appreciate MT2 and not have to choose between them, lol.

        Yeah, I'm fine with sequels largely looking the same... but at least from the trailer alone, it looked so damn close to the original that it was a bit disappointing, is all. The Steam page...

        Yeah, I'm fine with sequels largely looking the same... but at least from the trailer alone, it looked so damn close to the original that it was a bit disappointing, is all. The Steam page screenshots do a slightly better job of showcasing some of the differences though. Like it looks like there is now a city hub you start at that can be upgraded, and potentially even some different types of trains too (unless the different backgrounds are just cosmetics).

        I'm also looking forward to StS2 as well. It doesn't have an official release date yet though, AFAIK, just a vague "Coming to Early Access in 2025" statement.

    Exciting. The art style seems comical and goofy in this iteration, though my complaints are more around visual clarity. Visuals are much busier so it’s harder to distinguish between distinct...
