I Wanna Lockpick is a puzzle game about using colored keys to unlock matching doors. How hard could it be? (I'll just tell you that new mechanics are quickly introduced, and then things get complicated. The game is not meant to be completed in a single sitting.)
I Wanna Lockpick is based on the same engine as an infamously difficult platformer, I Wanna Be The Guy. However, I Wanna Lockpick doesn't have much in the way of platforming challenges, instead only using the platforming elements to set up interesting puzzle scenarios.
The game includes helpful QoL features, including a "pencilmark" mechanic that lets you write small notes on the level itself. The puzzle design is extremely good: even puzzles that seem overwhelming at first can always be broken down with observation and logic. I've been obsessively playing this game and would love to hear what you all think of it!
The release appears to be Windows-only for now, so unfortunately means I can't play it easily, but from the screenshots and description this reminds me a lot of a game I used to play on Game Boy...

I might take a swing at it later, booting up my Linux machine and see if I can get it to load with WINE.

You have to manually rebind the controls, but other than that it’s flawless (because Proton is Magic).

I didn't test it with pure Wine, but it ran flawlessly for me in Bottles.

Funny enough, I think the original I Wanna Be the Guy is the first thing I tried with Wine a little after it came out on my Macbook...
Runs excellent with wine on Debian
I ran it using Porting Kit on my M4 Mac mini. Ran great with that.
World 1 gets tricky/thinky fast! I can only imagine what later levels are like.
Yeah, I tapped out at around 1/7 I think? It was really early on.
