Anyone else looking forward to Spiderman for the PS4?
The embargo drops on the 4th. No reason to pre-order because you can get all those items just by playing the game. The game actually looks fun and I'm craving another open world game after God of War. I've been revisiting the fallout games in the meantime. The xbox trolls have ramped it up because they aren't getting the game, the whole "downgrade-gate" thing is stupid.
Yes, I am eagerly awaiting it. Big reason why I bought a PS4 this summer as a supplement to my PC. I've avoided coverage of the game for the most part. which I tend to do for most entertainment. I don't like having high expectations for something and then getting let down. I should be able to tell from the initial buzz how the game actually is, and as long as it's not a complete disaster, I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
I didn't know there was a Spiderman game coming out. I just watched a bit of in-game video and it looks like they've got it pretty right. The last Spiderman game I played was on the GameCube and it had brilliant movement, you could quite happily swing around the city all day long, just enjoying swinging from buildings.
Looks like exactly the kind of game I'll buy for £10 in next year's summer sale and have a nice time with, but not the kind of game I'm going to buy this week for £50.
Sadly, the GameCube title was the last one to get the movement right; we’ll see how this one feels.
The developer did an interview with IGN a while ago where they talked about the uniqueness of the world, and how with no load times, the move from web slinging in the air to interacting on the stream is pretty much seamless.
That, and I used to practice Capoeira and that (+ Mexican wrestling) is much of what Spidey S's fighting style is based off of this time.
It looks pretty cool. I'm just a little disappointed it's not on PC. Luckily I could still play it because my dad owns a PS4.
I'm super hyped for Spiderman. Insomniac is a fantastic developer so I think the Spidey license is in good hands.
