Something like that will inevitably happen, I just hope thier PR Dept is prepared for it.

Have you tried them yourselves or are you assuming that they won't work well? I'm in an area of about 1000 people and every town nearby is about the same size or smaller, and I haven't found...

Not saying your area is for sure gonna work well, but it's worth a shot if you gave up before trying :P
I have areas that they can work decently. My issue is to get to those areas I have to jump in the car and drive to them, which to me defeats the point of the game. To me the point of the game is...

To me the point of the game is getting you up and walking around with the excuse that you are playing a game. I was hyped for Pokemon Go but immensely disappointed after I opened the map and understood how bad it was for my area. IDK, maybe things have gotten better after I played it in the first month.

Wow, really neat concept for an AR game; with all the Niantic-like gimmicks that make their games popular. This could be pretty big.
