Dozens might actually be right. I don't think I have actually seen anyone refuse to buy a game without native Linux support since Proton came to being (assuming the game actually works on proton,...

That being said, I will always applause when big companies decide that Linux is worth their support. I just don't know if rockstar will do it since they will undoubtedly want it locked to their launcher.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but unfortunately that's the kind of stuff Rockstar does.
So it seems like Epic has a one-month exclusivity on RDR2 (GMG/Humble/etc. will be selling an Epic key). That's interesting, I think that's probably the shortest exclusive period yet.
Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC will also be available to pre-order at the Epic Games store, Greenman Gaming, the Humble Store, GameStop and additional digital retailers starting October 23rd with a pre-order bonus of 25 Gold Bars for Red Dead Online. Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC will also be available to purchase on Steam this December.

We're proud to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PC on November 5th, with special bonuses available to players who pre-purchase through the Rockstar Games Launcher starting October 9th.
@ThyMrMan, in case you want to give the Rockstar store+launcher a try instead of waiting until Dec for the Steam release.
Well I'm really interested, will love to finally get around to playing it. Been waiting awhile for it, but 1 extra month for the epic deal to end so I can get it from steam isn't gonna kill me.

Yeah, 1 month Epic exclusivity is much more reasonable/tolerable than the incredibly annoying 1 year ones that everyone else seems to have taken up Epic's offer on. Kudos to Rockstar for not doing...

A likely reason is just that it would have been far too expensive for Epic to pay for a year or six months with. RDR2 probably has way higher sales figure predictions than any other game EGS would...

If we assume that Borderlands 3 negotiated six months instead of a year because of its predicted sales (it has sold the most out of any EGS exclusive already, I believe), this seems even more likely.
