But wait? All the reddit users who told me they cancelled their preorders said that them voting with their wallet was going to take down Epic Games and Tim Sweeney was who you found in the bottom circle of hell? Honestly, I'm all for this growth by the EGS. It's not that hard to move my mouse literally a few millimeters over to the EG icon and just open that instead of Steam. Steam held for a long time what was essentially a monopoly on the game market and I can't blame Epic for succeeding where other companies (UPlay, Social Club, Windows for Games LIVE) failed. Free launcher, gives you free games per month, has exclusives on it and better compensation for devs and publishers I'm all for it. Not to sound like a mouthpiece for the company but this is just so satisfying to see after seeing non stop complaining on twitter and reddit about what Epic is doing.

Those people are why I don't bother with gaming communities. They are always stirring up drama for the most idiotic and inane things, and they don't have enough moral backbone to actually resist buying games from the people they claim to be evil. For all the years that EA has been voted as the worst company and how often they are boycotted, they still make hundreds of millions of dollars with every release.

I think you are vastly overestimating the influence of those communities. Even if they did truly boycot ea for many years, it wouldn't really influence how many people bought those games. They are just a drop in the bucket even if they successfully boycot something. Especially with AAA games.

Oh trust me, it's more of a problem for the idiotic drama more so than the hypocracy. I'm sure everyone knows about gamergate already.
