Where I live it's quite common for people to have their given name and just go by another completely different name or a shortened version of their given name. Figure out if this is something that would help you. I think what @Adys said is quite helpful in that this is "ask only once" if you're going to go through with this decision make sure you're over a 100% certain sure that this is what you want as you'll spend more time being unhappy with a new name if that's the case.

This question really came to mind to me about last week when I was hanging out with some friends. I always noticed it as a part of my personality but I never really thought about it as in depth as I have recently. That night I immediately got concerned to the point of it ruining my evening about the following things:
- We're running out of helium in the world
- Where is my birth certificate
- The old VHS tapes of my childhood and important moments in my family are slowly degrading but I can't digitise them until I go home to my parents and that's not for at least half a year, will they hold up that long?
- There's too much space junk
- I used so much plastic just cooking dinner this one evening for my friends, imagine how much gets bought and consumed worldwide
- Some languages are going to die out and there's nothing I can do about it
- Are the rhinos doing ok?
- What's my blood type and am I allergic to anything?
Does anyone else suffer from this idiosyncracy? If so, what are some things that concern you or what are some other things that I can be concerned about?
EDIT: This turned dark, I thought I was just sharing some lighthearted fun and now I have schizophrenia, OCD and should talk to a therapist... jeez louise

His influence was so much greater than just on the court. If anyone here also speaks Italian just take a look at this interview he did with Radio DeeJay a few years ago. This will definitely leave a permanent mark on the NBA and the teams, Mark Cuban has already started it with retiring 24 for the Mavs I wonder what other owners will pay tribute to him.

There are too many variables to take into account and all in all, society right now is not too bad there's no guarantee that this alternate timeline will end up as a net positive for us.

The feeling that I get in general and from this video that reinforces it is that all she really does is say super popular and sweeping statements. For example in this video she says we need "real zero" emissions, that's great I want that too and I can also say that but that's not making me famous like her. She doesn't seem to provide any real solutions and instead seems focused on going from place to place on her parents' money and again just say these broad statements like "we need to get to zero emissions". I don't want to sound aggressive or anything but this is just coming from a genuine place of confusion from me.

She says that she's scared of grating her hands which is why she's wearing the fingerless gloves but the way she's holding the cheese makes it so that her fingers are in the greatest danger of being grated off. The dog in the Chanel french maid outfit. She has a bunch of clean tea towels she could use to clean the counters but instead uses kitchen roll and then instead of using the tap water she takes bottled water from the fridge? Honestly I think I'm going to put this video aside and watch it in it's entirety when I'm on some psychedelics or something like that maybe I'll be able to look into the fabric of the universe then.

Really interesting differences especially when it comes to names, the one that I can't get over is that Dudley Dursley is called Dirk Duffeling which turns his perception at least for me from this fat chonker of a kid to a bully straight out of a cheesy 90s movie.

Comment on Epic Games Store has generated $680 million in revenue so far, largely from exclusives. Weekly free games will continue through 2020 in ~games

All the reddit users who told me they cancelled their preorders said that them voting with their wallet was going to take down Epic Games and Tim Sweeney was who you found in the bottom circle of hell? Honestly, I'm all for this growth by the EGS. It's not that hard to move my mouse literally a few millimeters over to the EG icon and just open that instead of Steam. Steam held for a long time what was essentially a monopoly on the game market and I can't blame Epic for succeeding where other companies (UPlay, Social Club, Windows for Games LIVE) failed. Free launcher, gives you free games per month, has exclusives on it and better compensation for devs and publishers I'm all for it. Not to sound like a mouthpiece for the company but this is just so satisfying to see after seeing non stop complaining on twitter and reddit about what Epic is doing.

It was like he was this mythical character and all of a sudden Moff completely neutered him. Not only was Moff Gideon completely prepared and knew exactly who was hiding out in the bunker but if not for the incompetence of the stormtroopers and Waititi IG88 then it's very likely the child is dead.

When I know things are going to get rough I bust out the ol' reliable, Casio F-91W no frills, tells you the time when you need it and it can take a beating. When I go to special events I have this gorgeous Heuer watch from the 80s that I got as a gift from my dad a while back and was the first watch he bought with his own money when he started working so it has a lot of emotional value to me.
