My main hope is that they do a version that uses the next-gen enhanced capabilities. PC games are sometimes held back by consoles, I don't want that to be the case here.
CDPR started out making PC only games, so it wouldn't surprise me if their entire development cycle is focused around PC first and then porting it. But it's hard to say for sure, I don't know the...

But it's hard to say for sure, I don't know the sales figures of Witcher 3 and whether it has affected their SDLC to shift towards heavier console development. I would imagine because the goal is cross platform that they'd start with PC code and then port that out since most development consoles are running linux or something similar, but that's all just hypothesis.
As shigeru miyamoto once said, a delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is bad forever. I'm good with this, just means they need to take some more time, I have faith in CDPR, they'll make...

I've heard a similar sentiment expressed differently by Jackie Chan, when talking about his perfectionism in film production (paraphrased):

Directors usually complain about reasons they have bad takes: "Oh, it was raining and everything"... Will you go to every theater to tell the audience that? The audience's reaction is simple: "Good movie", "Bad movie" – that's it! Do as best as you can, because the film is forever.
While I doubt it since they didn't mention anything about it, I do hope it means that their staff isn't crunching quite so hard as that was one of the problematic things CDPR workers said about...

Yeah, there is going to be plenty of crunch, at a company notorious for crunch even within the gaming industry. That is also explicitly anti-union. They also didn't inform the development team until after the press conference about the delay.

I'm OK with this, gives me a chance to read the lore book that was mentioned a while ago. The Deluxe edition looks great, but a bit expensive.

Wow, I feel incredibly sorry for the people working on this game.
