Really interesting that there's now a higher tier than diamond. That's par for the course in modded, but should really change up the vanilla game. I hope they add some serious challenges to overcome with it, too!

I really like the mechanic of how the new tier doesn't get destroyed in lava. I also wonder if the ore is resistant to TNT explosions, and if flying machines with the duplicated TNT glitch would work for locating it fairly easily.

(I know there would be issues with running into lava, since it only exists below Y=20, but the idea is intruiging.)

the issues with lava aren't constrained to Y20 in the nether. There's random pockets of lava p much everywhere from what I remember.

I'm so happy to see that they are finally giving some new life to the nether! It was so boring before, the new biomes sound great.

From what I can tell Hoglins only drop rotten flesh. I was really hoping for them to drop cooked porkchops, as I really want an easy way to get food in the nether that feels natural. Making stews...

That may just be temporary, it's weird that they'd drop rotten flesh when they aren't even undead.

It's about time the nether got some attention.
