Cyberpunk 2077 now runs on select Linux setups with Proton

@Pierre-Loup Griffais:
Proton 5.13-4 is now available, with Cyberpunk 2077 support! Currently requires an AMD card and Mesa git. Major thanks to the team over at CD PROJEKT RED for letting us test a build, as there was plenty of vkd3d and radv work needed to get there.

    I'm not planning on playing the game (unless it comes to the Switch, haha), but thought some of you might find this interesting. A few-day turnaround seems pretty good for a major triple-A...

    Discussion in a parallel Hacker News thread suggests that a native Linux version has been provided privately to Google for Stadia.

      Can anyone hazard a guess why, after investing time into getting a native linux version working, they don't just distribute it? Is Google paying for the port and they don't want to open the door to similar services?

          Yea that makes sense. I know Stadia is using an AMD GPU so I imagine even if CDPR were to support the platform it might be difficult for them to wrangle Nvidia into giving their linux drivers more...
