    There have always been ways to run your own apps on Dev Mode (or even Retail Mode), but to do it entirely through the web browser would be ideal for no muss, no fuss setup, especially on the developer end where the Web Browser is being supported compared to UWP which is legacy.

      Wii U browser was actually pretty robust, but I think that: The Switch is intended to be a device for games, not an all purpose tool. Smart TVs let you stream most everything anyway. Web Browser...

      Wii U browser was actually pretty robust, but I think that:

      • The Switch is intended to be a device for games, not an all purpose tool.
      • Smart TVs let you stream most everything anyway.
      • Web Browser has been a notorious exploit mine for homebrewers and pirates. Cut that off, cut off a whole arm of unlicensed software.
